Dynamite Passport UltraLite Charger

It doesn’t matter if you are into cars, trucks, boats, airplanes, electric or nitro – we all need a good charger on our workbench or pit table. With all the battery types out there NIMH, LiPo, LiFe, we need one that will charge them all and any charger that can do more than just charge is always a welcomed tool. After hearing the Local Hobby Shop, BigBlueHobbies, rave about the Dynamite Passport UltraLite I decided to get my hands on it and find out what all the fuss was about and how it really stacked up against my favorite charger, the Hyperion EOS 0606i.

A-Plus RC metric allen wrench set

It doesn’t matter if you’re brand new to the hobby or a seasoned racer, finding and having good tools in your pit box is a must. While a good screw driver set or needle nose pliers is important to your tool collection, when you’re into R/C you no tool box is complete without a set of allen wrenches, if it’s an R/C it’s likely got a 6 sided hex screw on it somewhere. Today we’re going to take a look at a metric allen wrench set from A-Plus RC and weather or not this set should be added to your toolbox or not.

T-Bone Racing Stampede front bumper

The stock Traxxas Stampede 4×4 bumper is a little high and a bit narrow and after a number of upgrades to my Stampede 4×4 it left a bit to be desired. That’s where T-Bone Racing comes in, remembering how well the T-Bone Racing Mini-Revo front bumper worked I decided to checked to see if T-Bone Racing had a front bumper for the Traxxas Stampede 4×4 and sure enough they did, now I just hoped the Stampede bumper works just as well…

CowRC flat mat pitmat

About this same time two years ago we reviewed a brand new pitmat by CowRC called the Screw Catcher. The CowRC Screw Catcher was a huge hit with it’s biggest feature being a fully magnetic base along with foam edges to “catch” your screws. The downside of the Screw Catcher was that it was thick and wasn’t portable friendly.

Well CowRC has fixed that now with their latest pitmat, the CowRC Flat Mat and today we’re going to take a closer look at the new CowRC flat mat pitmat.

The Cow Performance screw catcher R/C Mat is a 60 mil non transferring reverse magnetic, matte white work surfaces. Combined with permanently bonded closed foam part compartments! Almost sounds to good to be true, keep reading and to see what we thought about it.

A look at the Motor Saver buggy air filter

Last month we told you about Motor Saver redesigning their air filters, this month we take a look at the Motor Saver 1/8th buggy/truggy air filter!

Received my Motor Saver large 1/8 buggy/truggy air filter. My intentions were to use it on my Ofna Hyper 7 PCR Pro. When I received the filter first thing I noticed was how huge it was, especially compared to the Motor Saver filter I already had on the buggy.

RC4WD Full Metal X11 Piggyback Shocks

RC4WD Full Metal X11 Piggyback Shocks

“Look at the size of those shafts”. That’s what I said when I opened the package containing a set of RC4WD’s X11 Full Metal Heavy Duty Shocks. The shafts are an impressive 3.5mm in diameter. Easily the largest I have seen for 1/8 scale shocks. As I frantically opened the individual wrapped packages containing the shocks, I was treated to machining quality that is some of the best I have seen for an RC product. The fit and finish is fantastic. Even the treaded shock collar is silky smooth.

For those who hate to build shocks you’re in luck. The RC4WD Full Metal X11 Piggyback Shocks come pre-built from RC4WD. They have even taken the time to add lubrication to the lower seals to prevent damaging them during assembly and operation when folks compress the shock before adding shock oil.
