Hi guys

Please send some pics of cars and tell me a bit about them.

I bought my Tamiya DT03 new and have done a whole lot to it, I have swapped out a couple of the plastic suspension bits for aluminium suspension bits installed a 13.5t brushless motor with ESC fan installed a ball differential using a 19t pinion gear and a servo saver.

My thunder tiger EB4 S2 was bought second hand in a bad condition so done a massive refurb and cleaning, I bought a new rear wing assembly a new rear wing, New body, New front bumper, replaced all the electrics and battery carriage as they were corroded with acid and not working well, I removed the old pull start system and installed an electric start, i replaced the entire radio gear setup and installed the cougar ace rc GP3 system, replaced the entire exhaust with a brand new eb4 s2.5 chrome exhaust, replaced the standard air filter with a water and sand proof racing air filter, also put on a sick set of rims and tires, installed in line fuel filter and air cooler from exhaust to fuel tank, stripped out the 3 differentials and replaced grease with silicone oil, i stripped and cleaned the dampers/shocks and reassembled with new silicone oil, Stripped off some of the pink on the engine head and customised a head protector using some fuel pipe and a couple small cable/zip ties.

These are my 2 cars also posted a pic of the car the first day I got it but after a cleaning.

Exceed Madfire .21 now has a Ofna .28 engine. Had it for 3 years and was my first 1/8 scale buggy. It went through a series of engine involving the picco .21 Cpx, rex r80 you .27, and the Ofna it currently has now. Bashed it a lot and the only damage it has within 3 years is a bent rear shock. Everything is stock except for the engine.

Here's off body, paid 236 rtr from nitrorcx

Very similar chassis layout to that of the eb4 s2 very nice.

Others should put their cars up I like seeing all the different cars, my thunder tiger is my first nitro car and loving it so far just the parts availability for the eb4 s2 is not that good. Here's a question if I have a .21 engine in my car would I be able to swap it out with any .21 or are they not that easily interchangeable.

I agree, and yes you can swap any engine for any car but wait. Some engines might be too long and some might be too short. But just get the engine and use your same mounts from the thunder tiger and your good yo go

It should be fairly universal as long as it's not a mid-block but a true .21. Also you want to stick with the off-road motors since you need more torque on the low and mid compared to on-road motors that have high rpm and the power is more on the top end of the powerband. There's quite a few intriguing designs out there that have the super low profile Head for lower CG but this may be an issue dependent on the install. The clearance for headers, filter elbow and possibly shock towers can be an issue maybe even fuel tanks dependent on how close the tank is compared to the proximity of the cooling head.

How are the Axial motors. I heard that they are really good especially the R models. I had a R1 .12 but never ran it since I sold the car. I was quite impressed with the design. Even the exhaust ports going out of the exhaust header were ported and modded compared to other engines I've owned.

My Robotronic Mantis ,Axial 28
I still have it ,looks the same ,an runs like new!....:D

My t-maxx i custom made into a BB. Has a lrp30 spec 4 on it. About 95% aluminum. A-arms are rpm plastic. Still have my proline beadlocks for now. Will b getting 7" wheels & tires soon. Its nice having a 20+lb tmaxx, & still outrun all plastic 1s & bash it & not worry about it breaking!

Been getting into electric this past year, but I still have 3 nitro's. All of which are built to take a beating and to have plenty of power to run pretty much anywhere.

Savage-X
LRP 30
BP diffs
SHD outer bones/cups
T-Bones rear skid/wheelie bar
OFNA fuel tank
An old digital high torque JR servo for steering, hitec 985MG for t/b
Losi HT pipe modified to work with the HPI header. The LRP28 worked well with it as does the 30. Alloy shoes, steel 47T spur, HD 17T HPI pinion, traxxas 3.8" geode wheels with 1/2" offset with traxxas tires.

Big block 3.3 chassis Revo
LRP28S3 - 2 fins missing off the head due to creating ground clearance when on the roof
THS Revo BB pipe with modifled LST2 header
- the THS header didn't work well with the New Era leaner mount, so instead of cutting it up, I mangled another one and left it on.
RPM true-track rear/RPM arms/carriers front
Alloy rockers
New Era 3 point roll bar - raised 1/2" so it would nearly touch the body on roof landings
Alloy front-center skid (kept cracking the stock one between the steering pivot and front bulk)

OS21TM 3.3 chassis Revo
OS 21TM
THS high torque pipe
RPM true-track rear/RPM arms/carriers front
Integy 4 point roll bar, raised 1/2" to help keep the body from buckling on roof landings.
Alloy rockers (not pictured, guess I didn't take a photo after putting those on)
Alloy front-center skid (kept cracking the stock one between the steering pivot and front bulk)

The Axial engine shares some components with HPI engines ,the pull starter an 0-way bearing fit a 4.6 & 5.9 engine ,
however ,they are probably ported different!...

Traxxas Nitro Rustler all aluminum, front A arms have recently been upgraded to Rd racing aluminum A Arms and custom body. This car is a beast

What shocks are on it? Look like 4mm shafts. Guessing the rustler usually has 3mm like my stampede 4x4.
