Let me start off by saying this isn't going to be some crazy build. This is my first 6S RC. It's going to be a miss matched pile of parts. More like a log of how I got to the finish line. Plus I need to complete a build thread. I'll probably have a lot of questions.

Thanks to an Arrma forum member for selling this to me. I'm excited to get this thing ready to bash this summer. Here's what I'm working with. Took a hard hit in the rear. Wing is missing, rear shock tower is bent and a number of little things need attention. I'll update as I go along.

I did put a couple 2S batteries in it and gave it a run when I got it. All the diffs sounded great. Ran fine. (Aready tore them down and checked) A few small things need attention. All are fixable. Luckily another member, before his meltdown, sent me a pile of parts.

I've got parts for days and already have plans for some. And I bought new stuff. Some still coming.

Let the fun begin!

Got the rear done. The diff looked awesome and full. Left that alone for now. No grease in the case. Added some red and tacky. Replaced the bent shock tower. I know there are better. Have two sets of originals. Run these for now. Replace with something better later. If needed. 3DRC wing mount. Don't have the correct screws to mount the wing. Added to the list for the LHS. Found a GPM aluminum rear chassis brace in the parts. Threw that on. One of the axle hubs had no spacers at all. None. Just flopped around. The other was missing one of the small ones. Luckily, I have a pile of parts. Fixed.

Also replaced the balls at the end of the sway bars. They replace the worthless plastic ones. You can see them in the last pic. And the part number for anyone else interested.

The front got the same treatment. Diff looked great. I can always change fluid later if not happy. Added some red and tacky. Stock shock tower. And an RPM bumper. Wanted the newer EXB bumper but, they're out of stock everywhere. Oh well. On to the guts. Lol.

Added a 3DRC motor support. See how that holds up.

Also replaced the original motor mount with one from the new EBS. Had a hunch this would work. The second leg is aluminum instead of plastic.

Also allowed me to add the two piece chassis brace. Yes, it fits the V5.

Got the new S665 servo installed. On to the electronics.

Fun project, just don't ruin your build with aluminum A-arms, you will only be disappointed. ;)

Thanks. Not going to happen.

The only aluminum added was bearing carrier on the opposite end of the center diff. The original was plastic. This newer mount comes with it. And a different top. Allowing for the two piece brace. The original was one piece and prone to bending. Hoping to correct a few weak points. Plus show others it fits if they would like to try it.

Had a busy weekend. Squeezed a little work time in last night. Decided to add this wheelie bar and got a proper wing on it.

Didn't have a roll cage. Dug through the parts box and found everything needed.

The Spektrum radio/recevier that came with it had the range of about 100 feet. My suspicions were correct. The antenna wire was severed at the box. (I've actually fixed it. It's now in the Grom.) But, it gave me an excuse to try out the Dumbo radio I bought some time ago.

Got the antenna wire in place and the receiver taped down. The little foam seal is missing and the cover had 2 of the screws pulled right through. The seal was mangled. Parts box to the rescue. Found a nice cover but no seal. Stopped at the LHS today and they had a seal kit. Couple of those foam seals and a lid seal. Perfect.

Really needed to get to bed. But, I'm getting closer. Should be able to hook power to this. Center the steering servo and calibrate. Then I can put the front mud guards back on. Waiting on the back ones. Still looking into motor fan and mount. It wasn't running hot when I tested it, but rather be safe than sorry.

Sorry if this is boring to some of you or taking longer than it should. It's a lot of money for me. And, I'd like it to last more than 5 minutes. Just trying to fix known problems and do it right.
