Looks like a pretty nice truck, has some decent specs for a stock rig, I would love to get my hands on one and see how it does.

I have been surprised lately by manufacturers releasing cars that I just didn't see coming. Particularly what grabbed my attention was the Losi short course buggy.
Losi TEN-SCBE 1/10 4WD Buggy... https://www.amainhobbies.com/losi-t...07t2/p488720?gclid=CPu0s_3o2dMCFdRWDQodccsJNg

I compare that with the associated pro s.c. or whatever that toys r us kit was called and... BLAH!!!! I am SHOCKED that I would EVER be saying this too! The last time I was excited about ANYTHING Lodi released was a JR X2!!! AND to be comparing it to an Associated product?!?!?!? I have been a HUGE fan of Associated FOREVER!!! but the short course was a HUGE letdown!!! I am VERY happy that Thunder Chicken ......errrrr Thunder Tiger saved Associated BUT they NEED to either stay true to Associated's high level of standards and competitive products or let them die with dignity!
Anyways, this HPI is a BAD ASS looking rig. From the vid, pics and parts lists it seems like it's gonna be a capable, buildable rig for beginners straight thru! Fun little rig for sure!!!

Looks good, might be what gets me back into rc'ing. I figured stick packs would be dead by now, but nope they are still being used. Pretty small trans, pretty cool.

Revised tailgate lettering... (upside down) 'A TOY' :hehe:

they can release new models but fail by EPIC standards at supply parts for models being currently run by hobbyists

JUST FREAKING AWESOME!

HPI isn't the only company doing a scaler. Traxxas is also doing one based on the Land Rover Defender. The specs look interesting with a 2-speed transmission, portal axles and locking diffs that look scale.

Yeah, and they are finally making a metal geared servo! Dare I think they are going to make an actual big block? Probably not with electric being the RTR go to these days.

I think the traxxas is going to come out swinging hard. That setup they have looks impressive. I think the measurements will likely put them closer to day a class 2 rig though. Maybe not. Glad to see some innovation other than just a copy of scx10 and vaterra stuff. Been running alot of comp stuff here locally being that crawlers have pretty much taken over in rc completely in my region. Hope hpi makes a good comback but I'm doubtful. Hard to compete against the big dog axial.

Except that Axial hasn't had inventory for months.

Seems like a premium time to grab some market share.

Traxxas is finally actually doing something? Remember all the hype and mystery in the middle of all the comp crawler scene when they were making a "crawler" and then they released the Summit? :D
That doesn't look bad though, just took a long long time.
