Finally! Pics of my verrrry long Jeep Tuber project...FINISHED!

Any one who has been here a while might know this rig. It's a scratch built project I have been working on for a very long time, I feel it is finally finished enough to call it done, although it will never be truly done. I already have other ideas I want to add to it, i.e. illuminated gauges, replace the 3racing winch with a RC4WD winch, and add some more interior details. It is a 3/16 steel rod, mig welded chassis, powder coated in satin chrome. It has a RC4WD R2 tranny, axial axles, and custom built internal spring shocks with red RC4WD boots. The wheels are a one off custom set I made with a friend who owned a machine shop in Long Island NY, REC warn hubs, and pro-line brake discs, and the tires are RC4WD 2.2 Mudslingers. Both the stinger and rear bumper are scratch built and removable. The interior was all built from scratch with styrene sheet and then covered with styrene diamond plate and painted. It has a full size spare, RC4WD High Lift jack, and a home made powertank, with air hose. The fuel cell I also built from styrene and fitted the sidewinder esc inside. Guess that's the bulk of it and since I put the Team driver decals on it today and figured I would post up some pics. Hope ya like it.

Seems to me that he's earned a couple cans of Rolex's secret wax! The scratches dings and dents will only add to the authenticity.

It really is one incredible scaler and I can't imagine a more PERFECT set of tires for that beast.

Thanks Rolex. I know the RC4WD Mudslingers are an older design now, but I love them, they look amazing, and so far seem to handle nicely.

Funny, they DO for the build perfectly. So naturally that I hadn't noticed them as 'standing out' until they were mentioned. A friend had a jeep that had very similar tires to that. I THINK they were Nitto tires?? Bad ass either way! Loud as hell too!

That cross shock is very slick. What brand is that? That label looks familiar.

It's a front shock from a losi xxxnt that I modified to be not only the upper steering link as well as a servo saver using internal springs on both sides of the piston. I can't tell you how many spring combos it took until I found the perfect spings, the guy t Ace got to know me well.. I painted it, added the Rancho decals, clear coated it, and used a RC4WD shock boot. It works really well.

Do you get some decent rpm out of the tires? I'm curious to know how they would do On a higher speed rig. Not a crawler.

Hi there new to the site and was nosing around and saw the finished item and had to have a look at the journey..... wow amazing the craftsmanship and patience it took to do and the minute detail is incredible..... that scaler is a piece of art.... you must be over the moon with pride to have finally finishe it... great work amazing.....
