While building my MBX5, I ran across a slight problem with the brakes. The screws that pads ride on, do not have a smooth shoulder. I opted to change these screws to ones with a shoulder. Of course, I will have to trim the length a bit..

While I was at it, I used a couple of Ofna brake seperator springs to eliminate drag on the brakes.

Nice How To..

Now that you have brakes have you learned to use them yet? lol

I've done this mod to all my nitros and it's well worth the time. On my stock RS4 3, the pads would drag so much that they melted the disc even when I trimmed out drag brake. Although I agree with Nitro. Bic pen springs work just as good. A couple other options are small lengths of fuel line or rubber o-rings.

Brake seperator springs $6, bic pen 59 cents. No wonder you go over budget. :D
