It has been a VERY long road but we started moving back in this past weekend. Bills so far have been $78,000. I've only gotten $25,000 from insurance so far and am waiting on Wells Fargo to get their BS together and give me some money that they owe me. This weekend alone was $11,000 out of pocket...

No. We are good with the hurricane. Newest problem at the house, tile in the kitchen and dining room apparently got water under it and mold has started to grow in. So it's a step forward now 3-4 steps back.

It was down and gone within 48 hours. And mosquitoes? Lol. This is south Louisiana. They are here no matter what.

110,000 homes were flooded. Something close to 75% of the surrounding parishes (what yall call counties) went under. They are calling this the 1000 year flood. We are gonna stay.

    Flooding

Small update. A client in one of my dads warehouses (he owns a commercial real estate firm and owns several business parks locally) is an air conditioning guy and when he heard of my issues, he donated a 5 ton ac unit to me and the wife for the house, so that'll be a huge expense off my...

    Flooding

No changes. Still waiting on the inside of the house to dry out before we are able to move forward. Dehydrators and fans are still going.

    Flooding

I will say this. Trump refused all state and local law enforcement as security, saying that they are much more needed else where during this time of disaster. He also had his security detail (personal detail paid from his own pocket) refusing access to local and national media. All photographs...

    Flooding

Fortunately my parents have plenty of extra space. I'm the middle of 5 kids and they still have the same house even after all of us are out of the house..... Except that I'm back with the wife and two dogs.

Yea. the water level is back to normal by my house. Just dealing with the aftermath today. Spent all day today since around 0500 pulling sheetrock and insulation out of/off of the walls, Basically gutting the entire house.

We were able to salvage some things. I got home from work at 0500 and by 0630 it was inside my house.

    Flooding

Last I spoke with smaxxin he said it had gotten about 2 ft from his house and started to recede. So it looks like he has lucked out. The worst pain I have ever felt was seeing all of my belongings stacked in front of my house awaiting a truck to come haul it all away to the dump.

    Flooding

Thanks. The whole fema assistance thing is all screwed up. I apparently only qualify for a low interest federal loan.

    Flooding

Separate roof on the porch. It is just perminantly bonded to the houses roof through bracing, screws, and copious amounts of adhesives/sealant.

It's clearly in their favor. No denying it.
