Well when i say look away I mean You can literally stare at the car with your eyes but if your remote points away from the car then you lose connection...
I guess it can give better range, But if you turn your hands you can lose connection very quickly, its not really a big problem but i guess it could be.
Here is an update after doing the suggestion above, I have put it back together and like magic the Throttle adjustment screw now works...

It's a process lol. Thanks again for everyone's help Will fiddle around some more tomorrow and report back. Talking to "real life" people always much more enjoyable than support lines. And learning is half the fun of this hobby eh...
I can take one real fast.
Just made a quick video of it's operation. I got the throttle adjusted to about 1mm I used a Large Paperclip as a reference..
When you say pop the ball cup off the throttle side I assume you are talking about where that blue boot is where the servo connects to the...
Ya it doesn't look bad and honestly if feels great in the hand I mean wonderful. Just lacking any sort of features.
Also the transmitter is directional, I don't feel that is a great idea It is supposed to give you greater distance however you turn your hand away from the vehicle and you will...
Here is the Transmitter it came with, Sorry previous link was broken.
Did not have time to work on it today got home late and it's raining (demotivation) I will be calling Traxxas tomorrow explain the situation see if I can get a new carb on the way.
And yes they really cheaped out on the new...
According to this, I do need a new carb.
However it is hard to explain it does move in and out the screw is not stripped but it Does not affect the carb gap.
It does however seem to loosen it as seen in the video I posted. In other words it does not affect the gap unless I apply brake. But does...
Just completed this. Will give it a shot tomorrow after work. Also unfortunately my transmitter does not have idle trim. Apparently traxxas went the low route on them
I have read it numerous times before I even attempted to break it in. Still does not help the fact the idle screw is not adjusting the idle.... :( I will on the other hand watch some traxxas vids and give them a call if I must.
Will give that a shot now.
What it seems to be doing is adjusting the idle only while brake is applied. After doing what you just said. (Pic included) When applying brake the gap does not change at all but it does stay open.
In the pic i tried to get a shot of the screw as well. Well at least...
With the brakes applies the gap does not change. Ya regardless of where that idle screw is the gap does not change at all.
Ok here goes nothing, First i am going to back the screw out and post pics of results.
Ok, New update I Am currently uploading a video to Youtube. So you guys can see what...
O lord... lol.
Ok remember I am totally new and now I am scared haha.
Ok so just back the needle all the way out until it literally comes off the carb?
Also how would I check to see if the servo is messing with it?
and finally, ill check inside the clutch bell soon as I find out where it...
Well its not even a day old yet that would suck... So I just played with it a bit, I did the "pinch test" concluded the LSN was too lean. I adjusted it seemed to help a bit got it to idle up slightly then shut down right at or after 3 seconds. But still it wants to move.
When I have the filter...
