I don't have a limitless so I don't have much viable info for you. I did get into speed runs with an infraction but didn't get much over 100 before I lost interest. Just not my thing. Too stressful.

I'd guess a limitless since that seems to be the popular choice for speed guys.

Did you see the new castle orange cans? I think it's even uglier than the green. All the motors they made for traxxas are black. I wish they woulda stuck with that.

As much as I like Lucas products, I wouldn't use white lithium on diff gears. it's too thin and won't do a very good job of lubricating the ring and pinion. Go with any plastic safe bearing grease. I can appreciate esthetics so I don't think your 'stupid' for liking the look of the factory...

I think black is plastic or lipo :). All of it smells horrible.

I like traxxas. I own more traxxas cars than any other single brand. Now I'm just confused....

I'm definitely not saying that traxxas sucks, but their electronics sure do. My sledge and xmaxx are 2 of my favorites but the factory xmaxx electronics are a joke. Did you know the esc on the sledge and xmaxx are the same? Massive size and weight difference but the same esc? Good job...

Speed runs are very challenging. That's why most rc guys don't do it. I tried it some, just not my thing. I did get over the 100mph mark but it was more stressful than fun.

Play with traxxas stuff long enough, you will.

I think the color of the smoke depends on the voltage. 2-3s is bluish, 4-6-8 is white. Just an observation.

That's what I do. I have many Traxxas rigs but only 1 running Traxxas electronics and I won't be surprised when the smoke comes out.

Traxxas was selling rtr's with castle motor and esc's for a short time. I'm pretty sure the OG blue velenion was castle on the inside.
