So you can't give it a reverse and do I have to change the axles, bc the drive shafts are metal. I'm just messing around with it in the backyard and I'm not going to be racing it or anything

I just received a t-maxx and I really want to turn it into electric and I really don't know what I'm doing. Do I keep the transmission, bc it's a good transmission and I remove the gas engine rite. Could you please tell me what I need
