    Ok this makes sense, I was just thinking about more clearance due to high centering. Theres not many rocks in Louisiana so I've been crawling over logs and hills. I definitely see where keeping a low cog is beneficial.

    I have the Pheonix RTR. it has 1.9x4.65" Falken tires on it. Does not have Portal axles. can it handle bigger tires and is that something you would do to get more clearance. I'm a complete newb to crawling. I just got the thing last Friday. Any tips or recommendations?
