Correct me if I am wrong guys, but he said spring retainers...the top piece on the right. The have the slot so they can slide over the shock shaft, and then sit on the bottom plastic ball joint and provide a place for the spring to sit at the bottom of the shock.
The other pieces are the part...
Thanks for all the info greywolf, I was definitely thinking of the 2200kv castle setup, the one that comes in the Vorza. Can you explain what you mean by sensored? Sorry for the noob question.
I have decided to go with the Vorza...I'm aware that its not a race quality buggy, but as I said I'm...
Thanks for the help guys.
Seems like theres not a consensus on the batteries/chargers. Also I didn't realize some chargers are DC input only, that seems like a pain, hopefully I can find a decent one with AC or DC input.
Also greywolf I would think 6s would almost always be faster than 4s due...
Hey all,
Been a while since I've posted here, somewhat getting back into the hobby. Just got the ol' Savage running great. My LHS jsut put in a track and I'm looking to get something to have some fun on the track, as the Savage just kept rolling over haha.
Used to be huge in to the 1/8th...
Get the X. I have not heard good things about the engine in the XL, and the 25 is the old model. The X has a decent engine, and a bunch of little updates here and there over the older 25.
I'd go with a Savage X SS. The XL does look nice but I haven't heard to many good things about that 5.9 engine. Truggys are fast and handle well but aren't as good on rough terrain, depends where you run I guess.
Had a few savages now, as well as a revo, nothing bad to say about the savage.
Well I can get a brand new TQ3 on ebay for like 25 bucks, so thats about the limit there. Steering servo...645mg is basically what I am looking for, which are like 35 new, so a bit below that. Standard servos are like 10 bucks new, so maybe 5 each for used ones or something...and a couple...
Hey guys,
Looking for a cheap 3 channel radio, like a TQ3 or something. Also looking for a steering servo and two standard servos, and a battery pack (either 4 AA holder or rechargeable pack), and a switch.
Basically I just built a Savage X SS, and am borrowing radio equipment from my father...
Good to see you back SMaxxin, I was out of the hobby for 2 years or so and just picked up a Savage X SS. Your truck looks pretty nice, I used to have a Wasp .28 back in the day, liked that engine.
I see thanks for the info and yea it seems like all the new stuff is electric. Well I just picked up an X SS and and midway through building it now. Had a savage or two before lol, so I know that I like them. Great to be building one of these again.
My LHS had an X SS with the 5.9 but I've...
Thanks guys. Seems like most of the new stuff is electric...too bad, nitro is the way to go haha. There isn't any rumors of a new model savage coming out is there? I don't want to buy one and have them come out with a new one right after and it seems like there hasn't been any updates other...
Hey guys,
Not sure how many of you remember me but I've been around this board before haha. Just like to say that I'm planning on getting back into the nitro scene. I'm thinking about picking up a savage pretty soon.
I've been busy lately so I haven't been around, but I just graduated...
Thanks guys it was a great birthday thanks to my gf. I'll have to show you guys some pics of the cake she made me, its awesome haha. I'll post the pics soon.
Yea would have been an even better pats colts game. The colts might take the win this year, pats lost a few guys and it seems like the colts are only gaining this year...we'll see.
