Yeah I have it mocked up with my dog bones and it fits....just not the mounts. I have some spare carbon fiber that I think will work just fine, seeing as the brushless tranny is also narrower than the 2 spd.
So I picked up a FLM emaxx, some interesting goodies on it (proline shocks, ofna spider diffs) but it has an older chassis, for the 2-speed tranny. I ordered a brushless tranny to upgrade but quickly learnt that it has 4 mounting holes, not 8 and although it seems to fit, will require making...
Found some more fun times, every carrier bearing was shot and a couple broken CVD pins. At this point I decided to tear everything down to make sure it's ok
Another surprise was when I opened the hybrid cases...I was told they were stock diffs, but....
Cleaned out the grey sludge, slimed...
They are more flexible but if you are running dog bone CVDs, you should try to get extended diff cups, they can pop out.
I love the true track rears too
Nice, thanks! I had no idea, overall the truck was built with good parts, other than the ESC and servo. Also I ordered a proper tranny and am looking at mounts now.
Found a set of carrier bearings blown...I guess its time to change 'em all...
So I acquired a full FLM Emaxx today, it's always fun seeing how someone else put something together...anyways here is the list:
Full FLM Chassis
2200kv CC
150A Hobbyking ESC
RPM Carriers
Random dogbone CVDs all around
24mm hubs
Some kind of aluminum shocks
Ridiculous aluminum bumpers
Here is...
If you are neglecting your engine then thinking you can't get it right, I'd start with proper maintainence. I've never seen an engine looking that rough with 10 tanks though it.
Clean her up, seal it and give it a go, it just might be recoverable. But you shouldn't try to sell the engine...

The jumps were only between 15-20 feet, an all-around test session for the roll cage and overall build. I'll beat on it more when the snow is gone so I can get some traction.
The CEN tank is great, even though the pick-up is in the front. The XL TVP's don't have anywhere to mount the...
A 7.4 venom pack will fit in there juuuust fine ;)
The LST setup works well. I only just had it running last weekend for the first time, took some intentional nose dives to test the box/cage and its in great shape.
Waiting for spring to break in the ERCM modded LRP 30, and since the pics have...
Both are looking great man!
What are your thoughts for mounting the battery? I used a Rush box and went on the front of the shock tower
I'm not sure how I like it there just yet....
