Hey Guys
so i'm doing some maintenance well slowly doing it anyway i'm getting ready to change out my diff oil again and it just came to mind how much do you guys put in
I always fill or almost fill the diffs but would i be better quarter or only half filling them.
I have also decided to...
thanks i will take a look at the other site,
i wanted the lrp .32 but never had the cash to get one i will take a look at the novarossi 28 too :thumbs-up:
soo I'm kind of happy with my thunder tiger pro .28 engine its been reliable and easy to tune but i need more torque
what engine would be good to throw at the hot mess that is my savage XL,
I was thinking of getting the same as displacement that would have been fitted as stock - FME-36R01 -...
i looked at a few more mounts but it would seem any that were purouse made are discontinued
unless i want to cut the chassis sides up and make extensive mods its likely a dead end project
think i will keep an eye out for a X or XL flux roller, failing that depending on availability and price i...
I figured i would need to mod the pipe side, i have already done it to an extent as my engine back plate was quite large and i couldn't get the gears to mesh properly, structurally I'm not sure it would cause too much of an issue what i have done so far has made no difference from what i can tell...
looks like a 4s would be roughly equal to running a .21 or .28 nitro engine RPM wise but with heaps of torque so that would actually work quite well for myself,
i was looking at a few of the flux mounts from other HPI vehicles they look like they could have some potential with some mods
i was...
Thanks That makes it easier to understand, in that case i think i would at lowest go with a 2200kv motor, since i down need to wheelie constantly but would like torque so i can run large wheels.
i will probably only run on 3s for simplicity sake and that's all the power i would probably need...
thanks for the info, i saw hobbyking have a similar esc and motor combo for £60
what would the difference be between a motors KV 1900 v 2100 v 2300
i think the main issue is going to be finding a motor mount, i think it could be possible to use a dremel and use the standard flux setup, i will...
Hey ladies and gents
I'm currently in the thought process of converting from nitro to lipo and want to build a list of what i need & prices before i start what will be a slow process of acquiring parts and proceeding to the conversion.
This will be a budget build i want to keep the cost down as...
i run 300,000 cst front and rear without issue, just slightly larger turning circle on the XL barely noticeable though
i have ran 50,000 cst and 100,000 cst
50k cst felt too open
100k cst felt like it was almost like a limited slip diff
300k cst feel like posi traction with some slip
to avoid a peeing contest i agree to disagree, we both have different experience i'm not going to throw out a i ran this for x years just going to give my 2c
nitro carbs as virtually every carb petrol/gas or otherwise will use the venturi effect in some way or another, yes nitro use the exhaust...
nitro also suck the fuel from the tank
its a non issue, just hook the carb return line from the octane fuel tank up to the exhaust that will pressurize the tank, i'm not sure but if the octane fuel tank has a vent hole just plug it
would be pretty straight forward
if i could find a savage...
I will try my best to answer this if i understand it correctly
you are wanting to move your truck over to the XL chassis platform and want to use the radio box from the octane,
i asked myself this question quite some time ago,
looking at the XL and the octane chassis the mounting points are...
Something simple and straight to the point,
For me my truck it would be
Title
HPI Savage X complete bearing kit
Description
Savage X complete bearing kit
not compatible with models produced after 2016 chassis revision
(i'm not sure if they are using different bearings on the latest revision...
i have looked into those, just a few minors, hobbyking shipping on batteries makes it not worth it for a one item purchase,
also its less voltage so less servo torque hence the 2s lipo not LiFePo4
Thanks for the suggestion though
my plan worked, but then i kind of made it redundant since i released a better alternative
i modified my GT3b to be rechargeable via USB by hacking up a £/$1 power bank from a pound/dollar since it only needs 5v to operate it equals a much lighter radio with one 18650 in the base.
if any one...
hey guys and girls
so over the last few weeks i made some changes to my stuff
i decided to take the plunge and change from nimh to lipo for my RX battery,
no my dilemma, using the standard battery box the 2s lipo is too long to fit, is there a battery box i can install or something i can use...
i probably should have made it clearer its for low power draw stuff like transmitters and the like,
i'm going to convert my existing transmitters to lipo, the GT3B is done i just need the info on protecting the cells,
then i will be doing the same voltage regulator mod to my FS-CT6B at some...
excuse my post its 3.13AM and I'm drowsy from a sleeping pill,
looks like i may have missed out part of what i meant to say, the carb on this engine is different than the ones shown in the manual
if i got that far with the LSN its way too far out
i did find something so i'm going to try 2.5...
