IMHO, go with Airtronics or HiTec. I haven't had any problems with these servos. You want something with high torque. I run a 94358 in my Revo, 200 oz of torque.
I have two of the Duratrax Intellipeak Digital Charger.
The flip switch on the bottom changes the discharge rate. On mine, one side is 2 amps and the other is 10 amps.
I charge my reciever packs at .8-1.0 amps.
I charge my normal packs at 4.0 amps for bashing and 5.5 amps for racing...
The only immediate upgrades that I would suggest are the RPM carriers, bearings, and a metal geared servo (Hitec 645 is great for this truck). I've also added an ESC and a 27T motor to my Pede. It was my first truck and I still love to drive it.
I've had my Storm for about 2 yrs now and love it. Sure there are other newer buggies out there, but the Storm can compete with them.
Also add Stormer Hobbies to a list of parts suppliers. I've also bought from RC-Nation and would suggest them.
The metal hinge pin mounts are...
This month's RC Car Action has an article about a 'race' Revo and the guy put in a Kyosho 1/8th fuel tank. It still had the same capacity as the Revo tank.
I was looking for one awhile back to run on my Storm, but I found the Firorini pipe on eBay and couldn't pass it up. I saw that Fantom is making a Revo pipe now, I was thinking of picking one up for it.
The Plus has a lot of the hop ups that would normally be done to the Storm RTR. I have a Storm RTR and have been upgrading it as time goes on. It's a fun buggy. Pretty strong too.
At Stormer Hobbies, the Storm RTR package still comes with the JR XR3.

I love my Storm. I've broken a couple arms, bent the screws that go into the hing pin carriers, and stripped a diff. That's after racing it for a year...
How far does the piston slide into a sleeve when they are brand new or with a fresh squeeze/pinch? The guy I bought the motors from said that one had a fresh pinch, by who I don't know.
How far should the piston slide into a sleeve?
I purchased two used 21 motors that came with 3 p/s combinations. I have one piston that is almost flush with the top of the sleeve and I have two other pistons that come to about 1/4" to the top of the sleeve.
I'm about to send these off...
You might have the wrong motor mounts.
The motor mounts on my storm are ajustable. If I need to move the motor from left to right, I loosen the bolts between the chassis and the motor mounts. If I need to move the motor from front to back, I loosen the bolts between the motor and the...
Yeah, the Storm Plus already has some upgrades that the original Storm didn't have. The Storm is a great buggy and should be plenty strong. I really love mine!
Did anyone else notice the hinge pin holders? They look to be the metal ones with a nut on the bolt. This was a normal 'hop-up'...
