i used to put my slash 4x4 in a sink and lightly wash it off under running water. just try to stay away from the electronics. oh and i never lubed any of my bearings just replaced them as they seized up. it was more of a bashing vehicle haha
Well my f4.6 has an air leak and I'm not really motivated to fix it, it has almost 4 gallons though it. I've read lots of posts saying the LRP .28 is a great engine and easy to tune but I've also heard the picco .28 is THE BEST out there for a savage, though they can be a b!t@h to tune and can...
oh i get ya, its no form of competition to the x01 but as far a just disgusting amounts of speed, this wins. x01 is a much more consumer friendly vehicle and I'm also doubting it will ever become a production vehicle
just incase you haven't heard, Team Associated is attempting to reach 200mph. they have gotten in the mid 170's. My hat goes off to you TA you have kicked traxxas in the nut$
oh and it's "powered" by ford and futaba :D

well i am running on grass, i have a healthy stream of smoke and a good throttle response and no cutting out at high speeds. is it just the grass that is raising my heat. on road i can keep it down to 230-250
its a commercial electric from home depot 40$ not the greatest but its accurate at average temps around the house. the stock glow plugs are the hpi r5 so its the cold plug

don't be afraid to tear your car apart its part of the hobby. but no it shouldn't be difficult to install since everything on the 8ight screws to the chassis.
i have a savage x with the stock 4.6 engine with a gallon through it. when i first got it i tuned it by ear and the amount of smoke i saw. i picked up a temp gun this weekend and noticed when my engine was running great it was about 285-310. but when id cool it down by richening up the mixture...
I've heard the sc8's are absolute tanks and next to impossible to break. its built on the rc8 chassis so it basically an 1/8 scale buggy with a sc body. with a sc8 you could use it as a battering ram when people start to get on your nerves at the track hahaha
i don't know if flysky has a 3 position switch. but the spektrum dx3r has one, not too sure about the dx3s having one. futaba 4pl and 4pks have 3 position switches too
I've had both, slash is undoubtedly more durable and in my opinion more fun to drive because it has a scale look and handles better. neither of them are good in grass or extreme terrain though so don't get your hopes up thinking either of them will be able to be great backyard bashers. you can't...
