What's the difference between the tmaxx 4908 and 4907

I've got the 4908 and I believe the only difference is that the 4907 has an updated 2.4 radio system where mine has FM. Not 100% sure though.

    Need spring

It does to me too, I've got the 4908, but the 4907 exploded views are what you want. Its just a newer model with an updated radio thats all.

    Driveshafts

Thanks! That's the ticket there I say.... I ordered me up a batch yes I did!

Check out the exploded views of the truck that came with it or look at the Traxxas website you can get them from there. With the exploded views you can see how the parts go together and the part numbers are right there as well so you know what to get if you need something. Once you know the...

    Driveshafts

Well, yea that is the obvious thing to do, and what I did to get back in to action. But I also like messing with the truck and don't mind spending a little money on it here and there. That said, the MIP center driveshafts are a little pricey at around $55 bucks especially considering that...

    differentials...

Hmm, I'll have to keep that in mind. I'm at about 8 gallons on my diffs since I last messed with them, lol. Only thing that I have really noticed is that the input shaft on the rear diff has a hint of wobble. Both diff make a bit of noise but no crunching or grinding. However, I'm sure that...

    differentials...

I have the 4908 and I believe I've finally determined that mine are sealed. On the exploded view of the diff, it has a part number for diff fluid which is a kit of three different weights, 10k, 30k, and 50k, I believe. So I think I need diff fluid and not the grease but I hear folks talking...

    differentials...

My diffs aren't sounding too good though they appear to be working ok. I'm thinking I need to replace the bearings. I know the rear center drive seems to have a touch of play in it. Thing is, does the diff get diff oil of some various weights or does it get lithium grease. I can't seem to...

    Cleaning?

+1 on using an air compressor. It's not a clean all but it is a big step in the right direction.

    Thanks for the inputs!

    Driveshafts

I've been having fun bashin' my Maxx (I think 'bout a couple years now) and during the latest post bash review, I noticed that the u-joint pins had stressed the plastic and had elongated the holes in the rear driveshaft. (model 4908). No biggie, I replaced all the parts. But, that got me...

    glowplug issue

I appreciate everyone's input concerning my problem. I'll get 'er richened up and runnin' right. I can't believe that I let myself get the engine that bad out of wack, but apparently I have. At least now I feel that I am on the right track to resolve my problem. Thanks!

    glowplug issue

My lhs didn't have any Traxxas 20% last time I bought fuel so I bought Odonnel 20%. Shortly after I had problems (I don't think it is the fuel). Initially I believe I had the engine adjusted ok but somewhere in there I definately got too lean. At one point I noticed it smoking a little, the...

    glowplug issue

My motor, a stock 3.3, has taken to ruining glowplugs very quickly. Just today, I put a new 3232x plug in and it started and ran through one tank and half of another then I stopped for about 15 minutes and when I went to start back up the glowplug is dead. This has been happening to me for the...

    Hello Everyone

I'm new to the forum, but I've been viewing for a few months now. As a result, I have become a more enlightened Tmaxx owner (4908) and this has no doubt saved me some grief and $$. I'm a basher and so far I am enjoying my truck. This is my first rc truck, but I have been flying airplanes...
