i don't really know which one is better but i presume that after run oil is better because it is specifically designed for the engine after running. Although I just use wd40 simply because you can use it for everything!

The settings depend on the envirnment the truck is run in

Did you run in your engine well? Do you highly rev the car with its wheels off the ground?
