Thanks Fellas! I spent time with my wifey and boys. It was really fun to run around after all of them without worrying about work.
Work has me in Alaska right now and it is COLD!
Trying to run Nitro out here would play havoc on a tune.
Thanks to all of you guys. My RC family..
I have to admit, I still love my Ofna Micro failsafe. I do however like the built in failsafe on the Spektrum Unit. I about to FINALLY upgrade to a 3PK-S from a M8 FM. Just waiting on my neighbor. He has one but he likes the feel of my M8... To be fair, I am putting cash on top of the trade...
I almost picked up one of these from a friend. They seem to have a lot of potential but I want to see more experienced drivers to say what is needed to make it a stronger ride.
Let us know bro.
I am not familiar with that engine but the concept is the same for nitro engines. They use a one-way bearing. Check to make sure that the one-way is not spun/shot and that is on the correct way.
There are just no tracks worth driving to around here. Too many immature people driving.
You need to post bashing pics there. Will there be any leagues to join or is this open to anyone?
I honestly look to the smaller PC stores if not Fry's.
Best Buy always seemed to take advantage of someone not PC Savvy. I have been told of some real rip offs.
Best way to do it is to try and research the problem first and places that can fix it. I hate Best Buy.
Ok I will throw up my .02
I have owned the TMAXX before it was "Updated/Upgraded", Savage 25 before the next updates. ALso the Revo 3.3 and the Team Losi LST.
To say the least:
TMAXX broke bulkheads too often and ran unstable.
Savage was a great platform. The TVP's are cumbersome but it is...
Still in the Nard. It was a very interesting year. Had to re-prioritize things and get things in order.
Have to say that I have been thinking of RCNT and it is looking different but nonetheless my home RC site.
Anyways, I will PM you later frickenjoey!
Aww you guys.. I am back!
Thanks to the Men in Blue on staff and our great Leader Woodie, we have a home to go to for RC knowledge.
Getting caught up but I will be in full swing very soon.
Downsides:
Pipe is very restrictive.
Clutch shoes are not upto par with an 1/8th scale buggy
Wheel Huns are 14mm. A. Upgrade to 17mm would be ideal and opens up wheel selection.
Radio is AM.
No failsafe.
Steering servoes not strong enough.
A lipo RX battery pack would be great to give some...
Parts can be ordered from horizon hobby . They are their biggest distributors. All parts can be upgraded to an LST2. RPM carries certain but common replacment parts.
My bro has one. Not as strong out of the box as a LST or LST2. BUT a strong contender.
Think the LST I have may have to be brushless. The way money goes:...it will be a while till I get a brushless rig finished. Keep us all drooling brother.
Dang,
I used to have a gang of bevel gears. I am sure I have some used ones. PM me your addy, and I will send them out your way. I just have to locate that bin in my wonderfully organized pile..LOL
