Kyosho high grade air filter

Kyosho has just released a new high-grade (HG) air filter set. The Kyosho high grade filter set is now standard equipment in the new 777 WC Edition buggy, the Kyosho high grade air filter features a new, high-density foam element and pre-filter. The high-density foam captures the smallest particles to keep your engine in top condition, yet it allows plenty of airflow so the engine can produce maximum power. The angular cut of the Kyosho high grade air filter foam pre-filter creates more surface area, which means the engine will breathe well even when other filters begin to compromise performance.

Pro .21 and .28 Engines from Jammin

December 31, 2006 in Jammin Products | Comments Off

Jammin Products from Ofna has just introduced two new nitro engines. A .21 (51250) and a .28 (51251) engine. Jammin has paid close attention to the details that are so important for off-road R/C racing. Such as durability, ease of tuning, and driveabilty. Jammin has preformed tweaks to the materials, crank timing, and tolerances all played a part in getting the engine to the high performance edge that Jammin Jay requires. Both .21 and .28 engines deliver excellent bottom end power with great top end run out. Both Jammin engines include Turbo Plug type heads. While the Jammin .21 is tuned for the buggies, testing proved it to be more than capable in the truggy class. The Jammin .28 is all out big block performance but still very easy to drive and gets surprisingly good fuel mileage. Turbo Glow plug included.

N-Tune tuning dials

N-Tune tuning dial package

Ever walk through a store and see some little gadget on the shelf and think to yourself “DUH! Why didn’t I think of that?”? Something so simple but so useful that it seems amazing that it took this long for someone to actually make it? Well that’s the first thing that went through my mind when I saw the N-tune by
RC Hardware.

How many times have you read tuning advice that would suggest richening or leaning your high-speed needle by 1/8 turn or better yet “1 hour”? Sometimes it takes practice to really get the hang of what that means. And how many times have you been adjusting your carb and realized that it was running better at a previous setting? If only you could remember what that setting was. With the N-Tune, it makes adjusting your needle as easy as setting your watch. And returning to previous settings is a snap.

Cold Air Intake for .21’s

April 1, 2003 in Tips | no comments

Introduction:

This modification is probably the easiest modification I have seen yet. It requires 3 things. By using the three things together you can pretty much rest assure that your air filter won’t becoming off anytime in the near future.

Please note this project was done with the Hyper .21 8 port engine installed on the HPI Savage.

Parts and Tools Needed:

(1) HPI High Performance Air Filter (part no. 72438)
(1) Traxxas Rubber Pipe Exhaust (part no. 4451)
(2) Small pipe clamps
(1) Flathead screw driver

THAT’S IT!
