Welcome and thanks for visiting R/C Nitro Talk!

Our goal at R/C Nitro Talk is to provide a place where people of all ages interested in any form of the Radio Controlled hobby can come talk about their hobby, share info, and just have fun with others that share their same interest. While doing so we do insist that you abide by the terms, rules and policies detailed below.

Keep foul or abusive language to a minimal - While cussing isn’t 100% prohibited - If you feel you need to cuss cuss a dozen times just to show off your lack of intellegence, then keep it in the Free For All forum. Other wise expect your post to be deleted and possibly your account banned.

No personal attacks, be polite and patient - At one time or another we ALL where new to this hobby, so please be kind to other new people in this forum and hobby. Also just because someone doesn’t answer your post within 5 minutes doesn’t mean everyone is ignoring you. It just means that someone with an answer hasn’t read your post yet. Be patient as more times then not, you will get an answer.

• Any member exhibiting behavior that is viewed counter productive to promoting a friendly community may result in a temporary to permanent ban. This will include but is not limited to publicly ‘baiting’ or ‘antagonizing’ other users on the forum. ANY personal attacks will not be allowed in the public forums and should be restricted to the Free For All forum.

No racial or other derogatory comments are allowed - RCNT welcomes everyone of all colors, ethnicities and backgrounds. If you decide to particpate in posting ANY racially or derogatory comments, images, videos, or audio - you will be banned for a total of two weeks, a second instance will result in being permanently banned from the site and will never be welcomed back.

No drug, alcohol, or tobacco references - Discussions about or references to drugs and alcohol that serve to promote their usage are not allowed.

No sexual references - Porn or other adult material is not welcome here. The internet is full of places to find adult material, R/C nor RCNT needs to be another place for that kind of material. (If you have to ask if it’s adult material more then likely it is and don’t post it).

Do not post PERSONAL INFORMATION (i.e. addresses, phone numbers, passwords, personal identification numbers, images) or any other information considered private without the express permission of the individual. You must respect the privacy of other members. RCNitroTalk has addressed privacy concerns by allowing users to set-up their accounts so that e-mail addresses may not be displayed to other users, but rather moderators and administrators only.

No SPAM:

• Very short posts that do not add value to the current discussion.
• Double posts.
• Posts like “Hey, go check out my site”.
• Posts that obviously serve no purpose other than uping one’s post
  counts. This is up to the moderators to decide.
• Posts like “XXX, I have a question for you” are considered spam.
  They should be done via private messaging.
• Any other posts that we deem inappropriate for other readers.
• Posts that contain just smilies or large amounts of smilies

No Politics except in the Free For All forum because they often result in flaring tempers and flame wars.

No vague subjects - Don’t post a thread with the subject, “need help”, we know you need help, tell us a clue in the subject.

Keep threads related to the forums in which you are posting - For example, do NOT put For Sale posts in anyplace other then the Market Place forum. Failure to do so will result in moved or deleted threads.

• Direclty quoting or posting the content of the ’subscribed’ forum anywhere other than the ’subscribed’ forum may result in a temporary to permanent ban. This is a code of ‘ethics’ and an established trust.

Do not post in ALL CAPS!!! - Using ALL CAPS makes it hard to read, and it’s annoying. It is also considered “YELLING” while on the internet. SO PLEASE DO NOT YELL, this will only get your post locked or deleted.

NO crossposting - Do not post the same topic in more than one location

Use good grammar and spelling - If English isn’t your native language then please say so. Otherwise its very annoying and hard to read TeXt THat LoOkS LIkE ThIS. This isn’t a spelling bee, but please try your best at spelling.

Do NOT try to increase your post count with junk posts (aka post whoring) - Posting threads or replies with a three or four letter post is wasteful in many ways. Don’t do it!

Do NOT create private threads - Example: Hey Johnny what’s your email address?, I have enabled Private Messages. Use them, not the forum!

No Promotional Posts - There is to be no posting of commercial activity. This includes but not limited to posting banners, contests, sales, or request to have people visit your site. If you have a business or web site that you would like to promote then please contact us.

No Warez (links) & Cracks: help, requests or posts that discuss circumvention. This includes linking to illegally obtained software, movies & music files - posting about it, and suggesting to get it.

Signatures:

• Text Only - No more then five lines of text only signatures.
• Banner /Images - Banners are to be no larger then 468×80 and you may have one line of text as well.
• Signatures are NOT to be hosted in the RCNT Gallery or RCNT Attachments.
• Signatures larger then the above will be suspended without notice.
• No more then five lines of default size text including line brakes in text only signatures.
• Deduct 1 line of text for every font size over 3.

Attaching Images - If you post an image into the forum please make sure it is no larger then 1024×768 in size. Anything larger causes it to destroy the layout of the site and reading the thread very hard.

Avatars and User Titles - Both of these items are reserved for supporting members only, if you’re interested in becoming a supporting member sign up here.

Don’t believe everything you read - R/C Nitro Talk is full of members with different opinions, experience, and/or reasons to post in the forums. Take time to do some research and get more then just one or two members advice.

Use of Smilies - The a hoot, but when there is a thread full of them it gets annoying real quick, while at the same time slowing the site down. Please limit your use of smilies to 2-3 per thread.

Any discussion of AD BLOCKING software or instruction for using ad blocking regarding this forum or any other discussion in general of attempting to block advertisement will result in a no questions asked permanent ban on your account. This is not done lightly, rather deliberately to deny access to those who choose to utilize this forum, but not support our sponsors. It takes money to finance the cost of bandwidth, especially a forum of this size and if you don’t care enough to support us through our advertisers, then we don’t need your business. This will be the only warning with no discussion.

For Sale/Trade Forum Rules:

• You MUST have 100 posts before you can post items for sale AND must be a member in good standing for a minimum of 3 months.
• You MUST post a price for ALL FS deals and FS/FT deals.
• You cannot sell something you do not have in your immediate possession.
• Consolidate your FS/T threads when at all possible. We request that you have no more than one (1) active thread at any given time.
• No bootlegged software sales. Anyone who knowingly buys or sells bootlegged (Warez) software through this forum will be permanently banned.
• No multi-level marketing schemes.
• No auction style posts (take it to eBay). This includes links to auctions on other sites too.
• No dealers or vendors of any kind.
• No misleading thread titles. (nude pics, goats, etc.)
• No excessive bumping of your own thread. No more than once every 4 hours.
• No “contest or giveaway” threads.
• No alcohol, tobacco, firearm, or any weapons sales.
• No Pornographic (XXX) items.

If you find your threads have been deleted, more then likely it is due to not following the above rules.

Forum Courtesy:

• Thread crapping will not be tolerated. If you are not interested in buying or selling, or you have nothing positive to say, STAY OUT OF THE THREAD! If you think the asking price is too high, or you want to make a lowball offer, contact the seller via email or PM.
• Multiple Threads - Please have no more than one thread active at the same time. Making more just unfairly pushes others sales ads further down. Be considerate please. And remember, you can edit your thread to make any additions or changes.
• Leave feedback in the Trader Feedback Forum - Please leave feedback about the member as soon as the deal is finished.
• Provide a detailed description of the item you are listing.
• Include a picture when ever possible.
• Please use the SEARCH feature.
• Please handle all transactions with common sense.

Moderators and Administrators frequently review forum messages for those that are in violation of RCNitroTalk rules. Any messages found to be in violation will be deleted without warning or explanation.

Multiple forum user accounts by the same person are forbidden. Should you ever wish to change your username, please contact one of the Administrators.

RCNitroTalk reserves the right to edit, reprint, distribute, or delete any posting for any reason and without prior notification or explanation to the author.
