Mjime - PM me regarding the centax, i have a quick question, and serpent officially holds the records of having the worst instructions i have ever seen.

Well - Last night was the first "fun Run" race at the local track, and here are some results that i have gathered.

This engine is just amazing. Set up for about 90-95% power, this engine just screamed. Its sound is soooo smooth, sounds like an F1 car. Max temp recorded with the body on in full race conditions was 231. Avg temp was 214. Smooth, consistant power band, and due to the short stroke bore, alot of power in the high RPM range. The modifcations by Rody increase the low end punch to big block standards. Consistant, reliable idle. No carb loading to speak of. For the entire night, through about 6 tanks of fuel - this engine never hiccuped, and never stalled once.

As for the chassis - amazing as well. Turn in is very predictable, and on power steering is crisp and sure. None of the on power oversteer that the ntc3 exibited. braking was secure and uneventful, hard acceleration was true and straight, with no pull.
This car is much easier to drive at the edge, and has a much tighter turn in and is able to power out of a turn slightly before the apex.

Did you check your tweak at the end of the race? Your ride should not have any problems of losing its suspension tuning after hard runs, unlike the NTC3. Guys at my track are complaining about that all the time. They race with it on rails, but at the end of the race, their settings are not the same. Higher end kits like yours should not have that prob.

Whats your total out of pocket damage on this new ride?

mjime - this was done at a parking lot race, and i have my first real race (Florida State Series) coming up on DEC 6-7. I will verify tweak issues prior to the race. Gonna tear down the diffs, clutch, and some other parts and inspect that they are wearing in properly, will put it on the tweak board then. Thanks for the heads up. G-Damn NTC3 would tweak its chassis if u looked at it funny.

BTW - this engine is just stupid fast, and i looooove this new serpent centax!

Man thats a sweet ride wish i could see it run:OMG:

I'm working on getting min very soon. I'm crossing my fingers. If I get this freelance job, I'm up in there like fat chicks in a buffet.

Mike - nice analogy, haha. What do you want to get? The Rody?

YEP! I have been on a mission ever since you got yours. Ultimate Hobby has a bunch in stock. I also kinda wanna see the V15. But the Rody name on the head is just way too sweet to have. Peeps will be like DAYUM!

Lot of talk on the Rody chat forum. He says the V15 has more power than the V12, but doesn't rev very high, and isnt in the same league as the modified V12. Get the V12, be much happier. plus, nothing like the sound of a .12 revving to 48,000rpm! lol

Ohh, i know I just wanna see that thing run. Man my wife is gonna kill you. I'm gonna dip into her scrapbook funds and I'm blaming you for making me wanna get this mill. LOL

HAHAHA. At the State race in December, there will be someone there video taping the event. I will post the vids of mine when he gets them uploaded.

here are some more photos, better quality of the final car, completed.
