Thought it would be good to have a thread about what books your reading, what you have read and how you rate it. Say what kind of book it is too, sci-fi, horror, comedy and so on...Will help other when trying to decide on a book to read.

Recent books I've read, rating 1-5.

World War Z....3 stars. Got really boring about half way through.

Devils Gold...4 stars. fiction. Was good but had alot of really drug out spots.

Aboard the Unstoppable Aerostat Fenris (book 1)...5 stars. Adventure.

The Great Healion Race (book 2)....5 stars. Adventure.

And I just bought The Mill River Recluse, not sure if it will be good or not, was cheap lol.

In the middle of zombie fallout. It's meh. So I guess 2.5 out of 5.
About to start pride and prejudice and zombies.

*I'll add to this list as I read em.

Currently reading the Zombie Survival Guide, fiction, 4 stars

I am also reading a book called 1911 The First 100 Years, History, 5 Stars

I was reading the zombie survival guide...... Just got bored with it.

WEB Griffin - Final Justice (Badge of Honor Series) 3.5 Stars
Tom Clancy - Locked On (Jack Ryan, Jr. Series) 4 Stars
WEB Griffin - The Outlaws (Presidential Agent Series) 4 Stars
WEB Griffin - Covert Warriors (Presidential Agent Series) 4 Stars

I've been thinking about buying Locked On, might check it out next.

Monster Hunter International; 4

Monster Hunter Vendetta; 5

They're horror/gun porn. The monsters range from B movies, to reinvented versions of old legends, to Lovecraftian horrors. And no, the vampires do not sparkle.

I'm doing a lot of reading for stuff I don't want to read right now for work :D

I'm also reading Our Southern Highlanders by Horace Kephart. It's all about this area as it was in the late 1800's, including Hazel Creek that became water locked when they built Fontana Lake. Currently I'd give it a 3 out of 5 as it's sort of dry being non fiction. Still interesting though.

Just gotten through reading all seven Harry Potter books.

Found them all enjoyable, though the 5th book(Order of The Phoenix) was the one I enjoyed the most. The 6th book(The Half Blood Prince) felt a lithe rushed at times.

As I got through them I noticed the discrepancies between book and movie become bigger. And a few larger plot points were left out of the movies, mostly the two Deathly Hallows. '

Next on my list is Dracula, and Moby peepee, felt is what about time I tackled some of the classics.

Never been much of a heavy reader, but once I get my noose in a book, and it's captivating enough, I have a hard time putting it down. Which is why it has taken me less than two weeks to read seven books.

I'm having a real hard time getting into The Mill River Recluse.

Just bought The Bride Collector and THE BIBLE: AUTHORIZED KING JAMES VERSION on my nook...

I just started Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, which oddly enough has zero to do with the maintenance part. So far, I'm really enjoying it. I also picked up the first three books in the Game of Thrones series to start on at a later date. I'll report back on Zen when I'm finished.

Great thread idea SNG!

Just finished

The Litigators, John Grisham's latest. I enjoyed it quite a bit, and give it a 4.25 out of 5. I think there were a few things that Grisham could have went into a bit further detail on, but overall, a good read. You can't go wrong with Grisham if you like his work.

Might have t check it out next. Iprefer short stories. I'm reading Countdown at the moment and just finished Soaring and Watching You.

I'll have to check those out, I'm a big short story fan as well. Check out Wastelands Stories of the Appocalypse if you're into that kind of subject matter, lots of great short stories by various authors.

I just finished the Hunger Games, and holy crap, it was riveting. I read it in two days. 5 out of 5 for me. Starting book two, Catching Fire

Finished Mario Acevedo's Nymphos of Rocky Flats. It's an interesting vampire story with a twist. 4 out 5.

Most recent complete is The Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. Non-fiction analysis of the conditions that can make someone a super success. Sounds boring, but is actually a really interesting analysis of why some people succeed and others don't.

Now just starting The Hunger Games. My daughter read it and said it was awesome so I'm having at it. Actually not off to a bad start.

Well I've since finished the other two in the Hunger series, Catching Fire, and MockingJay. Awesome read the whole way through the series, 5 of 5 for me, couldn't put them down.
