Just sharing my build on my redcat gen8. Don't get to use it very much but my 3 yr old is getting more insterested in RC a little bit. So here is the progression! And recently got into 3d printing so decided to design up a spare mount and some ladder rack mounts and even a conductive light connection using some pogo switches. works pretty good. Just need to think of a theme with some characters etc.

And here is it currently.....needed to lighten the body a bit because it just toppled over all the time. Looked good but needed a change.

I've sort of stayed away from Redcat so far, mainly due to less parts availability/upgrades for bashers, never looked at their crawlers until very recently. Seems like for crawling they have more support and some solid opitions. Great looking rig!

Yea! If I'm bashing I want parts availability for sure! But yea this was my first rc in 15 ish yrs or so. It has been good. Nothing much left stock, but only gripe is the steering/axle swing. But it looks cool and works great as a trail/hike rig. Hoepfully going to start on a trailer soon to tow my sons rc around.

Not sure if the front lights will stay, might go to the old school hellas i have

Well car decided to fall down a cliff and become a yard sale. The cliff pictured below. I slipped and grabbed a hand full of throttle. Luckily only some printed parts broke and the stub axle. Nothing major. While on the bench I decided to find some characters to shove in. I found these two at a swap meet for a couple$. They are bigger which they should be, so I did not want to cut them up and glue them in. So i decided to lower the floor and extend the steering column. Still waiting on some seatbelts. But came out pretty good. Had to change the wiring up a little bit. Linda and groot and chilling and drinking their apple juice. Wish I found master chief but ohwell. Maybe ill switch it up later.

Master Chief looks like he's ready to roll (literally) need that body armor. His go pilot better have some pretty thick skin. ;)

Unfortunately the seller didn't have anymore master chiefs. So I settled for linda-058. She came with a sniper rifle that I am going to mount behind the seats somehow. Copilot is built like a tree trunk.

Very nice, 👍🏼
Best gen 8 I've seen. You may have inspired a build for me. You’re doing an awesome job.

So good lol. I have been tossing around the idea of some rear seats. Maybe some child seats. Get a baby groot or something. But I will put it on the to do list. Got my SC10 on the bench for a refresh.
