I was tired of snaping the plastic drive shafts from the trans to the rear diff so I started looking in to dog bones. I have the rear one done and it was so simple that any one can do it. If Iam late for the bus and you guys have already figured this out I will stop here, but if you want to know how to do it let me know. I only have the rear done. I am working on the front.

Go ahead, post some pics too. The drivelines have been a sore spot on the cybermaxx.

Gonna need to ask Scottm that question. You just need to know how much longer the chassis is than stock (front and rear) and tell them that, then they can go from there.

Alright, in searching through my saved emails, i found the demensions! The rear shaft is 4.350" long and the front shaft is 2.790" long. These are the overall lengths, not from pin to pin.

Cybermaxx is .290 longer in front and 1.35 in the rear. I got these dimensions from Amy at RC-Solutions.

    Cybermaxx rear driveshaft parts list

Here are the part numbers for the Cybermaxx rear drive shaft that I came up with and it works great. The only problem so for is that the Losi bone seems to be a little soft and showes signs of wear. No problem just keep on the GAS there is plenty of bone to wear on.

Parts list: Team Losi LST center bone P/N:LOSB3545 $10.99
    XTM center universals P/N:233211 $24.99

Use the drive cup(bone end) and one of the ball cup ends from the XTM kit. Install the XTM ball cup on the Losi bone (Losi cup is to big for maxx diff). Install the cups and bone and thats it. The XTM parts are at Hobbypeople.net
I also put a boot on the ball end to help keep out dirt. The ball end cups are not sold by them selves, but the cup for the bone ends are I dont know why.
If the Cybermaxx were 1/8in. longer in the front the rear bone in the XTM kit would work perfect.
One more thing I run a 66t spur and a 22t clutch bell and if you use a larger spur gear you might need to get 4mm hex head bolts for the motor mounts so you can remove them without removing the drive shaft.

Thanks RR, thats great info. The shafts on the Maxx trans and diff are different sizes, so which cup works where?

So the losi driveshaft goes on the trans and the xtm cup goes on the diff? Sweet, I wish that Losi part was available 3 years ago. Your truck is all tricked out with RCS stuff - NICE!

OK scott i know you are the expert but i need to call you on this one. If the cybermaxx is only .290 longer in the rear and 1.35 in front where did you get the extra room for my big block? Did you move the tany forward?:ponder2:

you have to use the Xtm cups at the trans (bone end) and the diff side(ball swivel end) RCS parts are great, you guys are the only ones with the extra pin suppport on the front bulks, nice! I have met Rob, twice, great guy.
