Well as you can see, I went to Loews to pick up some supplies. I have in mind exactly what I will be doing and is similar to what alot of members have here, but I'm adding a little bonus to it. You will see what I have in store when I'm done. Hopefully it will be done by the weekend.
If you guys like, you can guess whats gonna be added.......Its part of the stand, but to make it interesting, you can think out of the box, LOL.
UPDATE: The stand can hold the truck right side up and if you flip the stand upside down, it can can hold the truck upside down as well. Also there is an optional swivel that works flawlessly and hold the truck really well. I used Aged Iron textured spray paint (took 2 1/2 cans) so that it will give some grip when the truck is on the stand and it does not really slip.
I'm putting together a diagram with the specs and hopefully will be up this week. I've had some issues at home and could not get to it.
Stand with Swivel Parts
Base
1. 1/2in x 10ft PVC
2. Elbows x8
3. Tees x9
4. Cross x1
5. 3-Way x4 (My hardware store had the 3way where the bottom was threaded so I needed to get x4 threaded male adapters. This is not needed if your 3-way is not threaded)
Cap for optional swivel in center (Above cross portion in center)
1. Riser extender x1
2. Plug x1
Swivel
1. 45 degree x8
2. Plug x4
3. Tees x3
4. Male Adapter 1/2in x 3/4in and 1/2in Coupling OR 1/2in Riser Extender (Both of these options work, but I felt the 1/2in to 3/4in was more stable. When at the hardware store, see which is more to your liking)
Other
1. 2 1/2 cans of Aged Iron textured spray paint. It gave a nice feel to it where the truck wont slip, but you can use what you like.
2. All-Purpose PVC cement glue. I only used this for the 3 Tees on the base of the stand but it was not needed at all.
NOTE: Any part that does not have a measurement I linked together with a 1 1/4 piece of PVC
