you can find a brushed erevo or even an erevo roller on ebay for dirt cheap and then put the brushless system of your choice and still pay alot less than you would for a brushless edidtion
 
It is affordable... Hell I bought both the nitro and e redo brushless the same month;]
 
Hey^^ I've also got the e-redo! I started out with a e maxx brushless, but I hated it. I took the mmm system off and built a whole new erbe chassis off ebay for 200 bucks, minus body, radio system, and wheels. If you're patient and know where to look you can build one or find one fairly cheap.
Remember you need batteries and a good charger to make it fun!
