General Buggy Toe-in question

This evening I actually managed to get some time to wrench on my new MBX-5. Can you believe I have not even had a chance to break in the engine? I hate work.

Anyway, I was adjusting the toe-in and camber of my wheels (or at least trying to). On the front wheels I can adjust the toe-in and camber just fine. On the rear wheels I can adjust the camber but have to essentially disassemble the rear end to adjust the toe-in. Since I do not want to do this, let me just ask...does it really matter on a buggy how much toe-in the rear wheels have? If so, what is a good amount for general bashing and jumping (again ...note I am not a racer).

I run about 2 degrees toe-in in the rear and 1 degree toe-out on the front. I do nothing but bash. Tracks straight and turns sharp.

I have the same issue on the rear. Only way to change toe-in is to change the front hing pin plate on the rear lower suspension.

I have a set of three hinge pin plates for front and rear. They are numbered 2, 2.5, and 3. I imagine that those are in degrees. I didn't know any better when building my buggy (the directions didn't mention it, nor did I have the smarts to inquire about it at the time). Now I have the #3 on the rear and what looks like a decent amount of toe-in for the rear. My concern was more to the question of too little or too much, or if it makes any real difference. I know it does on the MTs I run, but that is with tires that are huge and a lot of moving mass.

Since you are bashing, it really won't matter. If I were just taking out and not racing it, I would probably go with the 3 degree block.

It's really pretty easy to change out. Remove 2 e-clips, remove 2 screws and just loosen the 2 screws underneath that hold the diff casing and voila, it's off.

I hafta claim ignorance on the buggies but I appreciate good artwork. Both FRB's sigs are true to the owner. First one technically impressive. Second one very amusing.
