Do you have many rc rides or just the one? If you have a few you might want to look into getting a Synthasized radio so that you can use the same radio for different rides on different channels and not have to worry about crystals. The JR XS3 is a nice set up.

If this is your first car , I would get the jrx2 or 3, both are good, 2 is am and 3 is fm, you can add more cars to these as you get them! good luck!

I agree, the JR XS3 is excellent. I like the exponential settings, plus it comes with synthesizers for all channels. Its $219 at my LHS. We have over $500 into an Airtronix M8 for just 5 channels, to buy the radio plus tx synthesizer plus 5 extra reciever crystals.

Berra - if budget isnt an issue, than nothing can beat the Futaba 3PK.

although alot of people on this board swear by the XS3, I personally do not like it. this is just one mans preference, so make sure u see one in person before u buy. Skymaxx and myself both use the Hitec Lynx 3D and love it. It is my favorite radio. Here is a link.

it is also available in a synth model for an additional 100.00
