Question on life of 5 Cells

I bought my inferno used but in GREAT shape. I have digital servos all the way around. I am getting like 7-8 tanks before my batteries dies. The Battery is about a year old. Is this normal or is it time for a new 5 cell?

Your battery is most likely in good shape. It never hurts to change it if your not comfortable with it.

I have no Idea how many tanks I can get out of my rechargeable packs. I never let them go more than 5-6 tanks before I recharge them. Keeping the batteries charged and in good shape is a must. If it were my car I would invest the 25.00 a goos set of batteries casts in a fail safe. If the batteries do go dead while running your car will not go on a wild run.

If they're NiMH, before each time you take the car out to the track or bashing spot, peak out your reciever pack with a MH peak charger, I do this for both rx batteries and elec car batteries that are MH, the NiCads I don't have to worry about as much.

I use 5-cell flat 1800 mahs, lasts a very long time (approx 9 hours from a reciever that draws 200 mah). Also you mentioned you have digital servos, that'll draw battery current quicker than standard servos, if you can find a link on the web somewhere, there's a way to put two packs in paralell with a Y-cable (NOT SERIAL) for longer run times.
