My zx-1 at my local track.....

took my CASTER ZX-1 1/8TH buggy to a local park today which has a bmx track and also a rc track. it was an absolute ball at the bmx track cos this was my first time.....unfortunately i dont have any vids of it cos it was only me and my daughter who is only 3.....but i went back this afternoon with my daughter n neighbour....unfortunatley there was to many people on the bmx track so i had to go to the rc track.......and unfortunately again the track is designed for a 1/8th and there is even a sign station no nitro powered or 1/8th....but there was no one thee so i didnt see any harm in bashing round it....the course is pretty narrow n tight n jumps arent to big but was better then nothin...... ill post some videos for you guys to check out the rc track..... but hopefully next time i go to bmx track ill get some videos cos i loved it....got some good air(well i thought it was considering it was my first try)................
let us know what ya think

Excellent driving for a first timer on a track. on the track vid. your engine is running rich on the LSN. That buggy handled that tight track nicely.
The doughnuts,,,,,, invest in some diff fluids if you do not already have some. Your gonna need it!lol

thanx scrogg, i though it would be alot harder....i had been on the bmx track earlier in the day but it was runnin the track, just hitin the same jump over n over......how can u tell its runnin rich on LSN scrogg? and yeh im suprised how it handled it but it was very tight indeed but fun all the same.....
diff fluids?????? im not understanding..... and why do i need them?

ill hopefully have a few videos from the bmx track in 2 weeks......I HOPE..... and then ill post them up but im glad that it wasnt hard to work out how to hit the jumps n then land them..... i expecting it to be heaps harder then it actually was.... first time on the big jumps n i landed all but one sweetly...... even managed to handle two quick double jumps sweetly....i had a ball....

what do you mean by the cut off on the track taz1175????????

oh ok then taz1175.... i see what ya mean now but i didnt know what it was called....... but yeh there is a spot or 2 on the track that ya can go one way or another..... same as at 0:37 in the vid where you can do a sharp left on can keep goin n hit a left hand turn........ and at 0:47 you can see where i go straight through on the 0:08 turn taz1175....... and on 1:20 to 1:30 you can see the other cut off where i go round in a kind off circle.....

its not a bad little track but the BMX track is much better..... hopefully pics of that real soon.....in next few wekks.....

Doughnuts are murder on diff fluids. It cooks very quickly. As for your tune, i tune by sound and performance. your idle speed was steadliy dropping and it had a rich bog, a slight one, not terrible. That engine should have been snapping a lot harder out of the corners.

I'm with scrogg on your tune. A bit rich for the slower running your doing. If you had a lot more flat out WOT running, a bit rich isn't as noticeable, but on the short run track you were on, you could lean out the LSN a bit to make it a bit more punchy to clear the jumps.

Looks like a fun place to run though! I envy you...
