Nuke Robitronics protos review

I recieved my ROBITRONICS PROTOS in the mail the other day and was supprised on how much of a good looking buggy it really is.
Everything seemed to look really strong and sturdy especially for the price.

After reading the instruction manual and making sure that everything was tight i decided it was time to go and run it in. I decided to do it by following the instrudctions which tell you to run 2 tanks of fuel at idol and then 2 tanks at 1/4 throttel. Only having enough to fuel the do the to tanks of idol i was bumbed that i wasnt able to get out and take it for a drive.

Today i purchased more fuel. 4L 25% @ $60.00 and was able to finish the break it, i decided that because it was cold weather and the 1st tank i ran the engine didnt heat up very much that i would do a 3rd tank.
After completing the break in it was time to take it out the the track and see how it went.

I was suprrised on the performance the buggy had, with quiet alot of speed behind it and GREAT handeling. I was only running on my track that i had built myself and have still yet to include berms, elevations and jumps, the track is still not quiet smooth and running my 1/10 was near on impossible but the PROTOS was able to handel it all without a problem.

I am very happy with the PROTOS and would recomend it to anybody looking to buy a cheaper buggy that could still be competative at the track.

I would recoment getting ALI. shock towers before driving it to hard though, i am still running the plastic ones but only race around my own track for the moment

I WILL POST SOME PICS OF IT IN ACTION WHEN I HAVE THE TIME TO RUN IT AGAIN
HOPEFULLY TOMOROW

Had my buggy out again today and it was going great... still impressing me
Managed to get the front wheels of the ground while running laps of my track... not a complete wheel stand but still had to back off for it to turn

Although when i brung it in from running it and when to do after run procedures realised that the pull start was missing... presuming that it was sitting on the exhaust and got hot and just melted off

still not sure if i want to repair it or get a roto start for it???
recommendations?

So i enquired about a JP pipe and in Australia the Shop Owner estimated there about $400.... NOT GOING TO HAPPEN

I went with a NOVAYUSA YSA-NC3 Tuned Pipe.
After mounting the pipe and new pull start i took it out and started to hit the track and am surprised on how much more power it gave my Buggy and throttle response is so much more instant. Not a bad pipe in all for $90 (10% Discount)
So i was out doing some laps of my track and came out of the corner sideways and i was just letting it slide down the straight when it must of hit a small rut or something because it was launched about 1.5 meters in the air and just spiraled.... i mean it would of had to do about 4 flips and mabey 720 degrees in rotation. When it landed ON THE WHEELS thank god the engine died instantly.... Decided to take it in and give it all a clean and see what's going on but i was unable to find anything wrong with it :S

Ill properly get it out again 2morow and if i can find someone with a video camera i will get some footage
