ANY TTR EB4 OWNERS OUT THERE???? I am new to TTR and need some HELP!!!!!

I have a eb4 s2 that I got off a local guy here. I am wanting to see what all I need to do to upgrade it to an S3 or maybe the S2 Pro. I have an aftermarket chassis that the guy gave me with the buggy. Couple of questions:

1. What kind of chassis is this? Because the bolt patterns are different from my S2. Is is a chassis for an S2 Pro or S3?

2. What do I need to do to upgrade this to the S3 other than the front a-arms.

3. Where is the best place to buy TTR EB4 parts?

I am new to the TTR world, I hear most people love them and swear by them.

I attached pics of my buggy and the aftermarket chassis that i have no clue about. Any help would be greatly appreciative. If i could at least find out some info on the chassis would be a huge help.

Thanks for reading!!

I have one and love mine, but I`m pretty new to this as well. There is a fellow here who knows this car inside and out. If you look in this thread http://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69059 there is a ton of info he has put together on this very buggy. I`m sure he`ll chime in sooner or later to help.

Ok thanks. Yeah any extra info is helpful. If I could find out more about this chassis, then I could build around that.

Thanks for the help.

Well firstly, that after market chassis looks nothing like tghe EB4 S2 chassis that i know of. The first thing is, the original chassis is a flat plate with a front kick up. The milling is also on the topside, not the underside as it appears to be with the chassis in the photograph. The after market "Ergal" chassis is a lighter chassis in "titanium" colour anodizing which is milled on the TOP side. The chassis you have appears to have been milled out even more, which can sometimes actually weaken the chassis.

As to parts, there are a few places to buy, including parts from "Other" rigs that fit the EB4 S2 platform. It mainly depends whether you are located in the states or the UK or another country.

As plugged said (and i think he was reffering to me when he said about it) i know this rig inside out, upside down and back to front.

Any questions you have on it, either PM me, or post em, i'll answer ANY eb4 s2 question you could ever possibly ask.

Also, take a look at the album on my profile, i have a number of the "Ergal" and other option parts fitted including the chassis and there are a number of good close up shots of the rig.

As to upgrading it to an S3 ? that, truly, is not an option. Whilst a number of the parts WILL fit, if you want an S3, just go and buy the kit. If you want to build an S2 Pro, you dont need to, it already IS an S2 Pro. (though more pics would clarify that fact even more, i can tell from the one pic i already see). I might also mention, that your particular version was built from a kit, and is the first generation EB4 S2 pro with no anodising.

The front A-Arms of the S3 will not fit at all. The lower suspension arms will not fit either, unless you modify the inner mount ends. I know, i have the S3 lower suspension arms fitted to my EB4 S2 buggy and it is NOT worth the hassles involved, not to mention the fact that the arms are a lot weaker at the hingpin end than they should or would otherwise be.

Plugged, that "tips tricks and parts compatibility manual, i am nearly finished with that "updatre" i mentioned, so the new copy should be ready for download very soon.
