How much are you willing to spend, because there are better quality rigs out there.

What do you want to do with the buggy? Race? Bash? Both?

Ok I would highly suggest steering away from Duratrax. I have owned three different vehicles by them and each time I was very disappointed. For a budget I would suggest a Ofna starter model. Still a good buggy...tough and great parts support. I am going to list a few below that I think would meet you needs.

Any of these buggys or the truggy would meet most of your needs to start out with and also be a platform that is worth upgrading and such. Now mind you this is only my opinion some may disagree with me but I think most are in agreement on the no Duratrax.

Ofna makes the best RTR buggies under 400 dollars.

I have th Raze ST and it's lots of fun and has never gave me any trouble.

your best bet is to go to your LHS and see what they stock parts for and start there. it always sucks to have to wait on parts or not be able to find parts.

I got mine a few weeks ago....have had a few small issues..but tracked it down to the same problem..think my head screws came loose..started burning through glo plugs fast....casue it was running hot....figure that out and ordered a new gasket and shims for the head... my LHS is gone..so have ordered a bunch of parts through Tower...all have come in..re-routed the fuel lines and put in a fuel filter/primer bulb...and now it is easier than the finger over the exhaust pipe method ot get fuel into the motor..also got a starter box....has bene fun...now just some tuning and some bashing! so far it has bene very durable for what i have put it through....not bad for the $$ for sure...

what other issues have you come across? i tor up a tire running real hard on rocks..and i didn't have it tuned right for the conditions so i have put in like 15 glo plugs...now the heab button is not holding the plugs in right..but have a head button on the way...now that i have it setup right it seems ot be running good..and a bunch of replacement parts in my box..what else should i be looking out for? I have a spare car i snagged off ebay without the motor or radio for all of $30 for a lot of extra parts...
