Nice rig, I'm seriously considering one. Let us know how it goes and if you find any weak spots.

i have got about 8 hours on it, and have not found a flaw yet. the only thing i have a complaint about is that the tires are coming unglued, but i guess running them on the street will do. i have some street tires ordered at the LHS !!

thanks for the kind words, i think i am gonna remain a Team Losi guy after this setup !!

well, this is the SECOND time the throttle servo has needed to be replaced !! i just bought this car on 7-4-08 !! WTF ??

i have an email in to Team Losi AND i am calling them in the morning. i will let you guys know how my dealings with them go.

since i bought the car i have had to have the throttle servo replaced twice, the tires keep coming off of the wheels so i have to keep re gluing them, and i had the bearing behind the clutch bell replaced ... do you guys think that i just got a bad car to start with or is this a common occurrence for this buggy ??

the thing that gets me ... i am not doing any serious bashing !! the jump in my back yard is only about 8" tall. i am just running it in the yard right now. getting the hang of the steering and throttle before going to the track. i was planning on hitting the track this weekend, but if i have to send it back to Losi ... thats out of the question

with the throttle servo problem.. try one thing .
take the radio tray out..
the screw under the rx box leave loose or just about to the top of the hole inside the box.
and before you do that try and cut some fuel line about 1/4 in and use that instead of the o-ring but it's very inportant to leave that radio tray flexable or you'll keep eating servo's
and keep a few sets of clutch bell bearings handy they go quick.. and clutch shoes too
hope this helps a bit if you have any ?''s about what i posted .. hit me up
heres my buggy at the track .. after hours (after the race day was over) they don't run 8th there but the owner let me run a few laps

thats a sweet looking track !! i guess if i am ever in your neck of the woods, ill have to hit you up !! you do the same !!

UPDATE on the issues ...

i got a new servo in the car (out of my own pocket), and have the EPA set know (by someone i would consider VERY seasoned), but i still have not heard anything back from Losi. i sent the email 7 business days ago and CALLED (left a message) yesterday. the website says to give them 3-5 business days to reply, so i sent ANOTHER email yesterday. i guess you could say that customer service is lacking, but they might just be really busy ... im hoping that its the later of the two.

The Losi 8 has had that issue from the get go. Look on their web site for any customer service announcements about it. I will try to look some up as well.

thanks Jon, i FINALLY got a call in to them and actually SPOKE TO SOMEONE there. i have a new servo coming and all of the parts to keep it from doing that in the future. the guy i spoke with was VERY helpful and offered everything to correct the problem free of charge to me without me even asking. i guess i would have to suggest CALLING them and not relying on emails ... i still have not gotten a response to either email that i sent, and even the second one has been within their reply time frame on the website.
