buggy on a budget

hello ian new to 1/8 and iam on a budget.the two buggies i am considering are the ofna ultra lx 1 rtr. or the xtm x-terminator 2. my brother already has the xtm.and its ok. the buggy is going to be used in a track mostly. racing with freinds and such.in the future i might try to race at club level. so of these two cars which one do you think would be superior.and if there is another buggy in the same price range that is better let me khow.like i said iam new and there is so many buggies. and if there a link discussing this two cars let me khow . thanks meno

I've seen them in the LHS and they look decent....I'm leary of sporkwerks because of their last 1/8 scale, the mayhem....it was a piece of turd......the sportwerks engines are a good starter engine as well.....

A guy out at the track has a turmoil and all i saw it do was eat parts and he didn't seem to be "bashing" it...I was considering the turmoil at first but parts can be hard to find in some places, but if you look around and keep your ears open you can find a used racer that has all the extras for a good price. I picked up an almost "new" jammin x1-cr for 275 with a starter box and a grocery bag full of extras. keep your eyes open and just start talking to people you never know what's someone might want to give away that day
