Landing on front end over jumps, any advice please?

Hi guys

I have a Kyosho Inferno with a 21 engine. It has a fair few alloy hopups all over the car but more on the font end. Over alot of jumps i am landing on the front end of the buggy.. I am new to this so i am hoping there is a skill to landing them properly. Over the same jumps my mate's Swift buggy lands fine but all its body is standard and already carbon fibre.

Is there anything i can do or adjust to get the front to come down and even out for the landings?

thankyou!

Throttle control may be the key here. When you're in the air you can control the attitude of the car. If you let off the throttle while in the air, the nose of the car comes down. If you add throttle in the air (yeah, it's kinda weird at first), the front wheels will come up. Try that first. if that doesn't help, then some rear suspension tuning may be in order.

Although this might sound like stupid advice, but the bigger the jump, the easier it is to learn. ie; jump higher than your average track jump, because you have more TIME to sort the throttle out. In no time you'll THINK you know what you're doing, and shortly thereafter, you WILL. It does become kind of second nature after a while.

also make sure you have ZERO brake drag....when you set your buggy on the floor can you give it a quick push and it rolls freely? if it only rolls afew feet and stops you have drag on your driveline.....this will cause the front end to dip automatically when you jump and let off the throttle.....drag can be anything from brake adj to bad bearings to too much dirt caked on your outdrivves........after you eliminate any drag then practice the throttle control.....

One more thing, accelerating up the face of the ramp helps too. If you let off the gas at the top of the ramp, your weight shifts forward making the rig want to tip forward. Punching the gas up the face of the ramp puts all the weight on the rear. Let off the trigger after all 4 wheels are off the ramp, but not until they are all off the ramp.

Believe me, I'm in your boat... been in this hobby for about 8 years and recently picked up a jato... forced me to learn how to drive better again.

To be honest, the buggy is a breeze in comparison. They almost fly themselves. But, if your letting off the gas too early or not accelerating up the face of the jump, it will cause weight transfer that will make you stick the nose in the ground almost every time.

thankyou all for you great advice. I just picked up the parts needed to fix my shock and will be giving it ago tomorrow after repairs.

I find your advice for larger jumps spot on as i need more time. and the explanation from everyone has been great with the last one nailing it i thought. only said what everyone else had said but explained it great.

thankyou all!
