Help Good racer platform for a semi-noob

Hello everyone! Ive been doing alot of research on 1/8 scale buggies for racing and im having a hard time deciding.

Im deciding between a Xray, associated rc8 and an Ofna.

What do you think? the cars all seem very similar to me. I know alot of guys around here race mugen and associated but Im not paying the premium for the mugen.

Any input would be much appreciated.

Mugen is no more than the xray or losi (race not RTR). What kind of budget do you have for your setup (everything you will need) and have you considered a nice used one? A lot of guys in our area fall victim to the flavor of the month and you can get barely used rides at good prices!

Try the Hyper 8.5 pro kit. Very nice buggy for the price. Nitrohouse has them for $409.

you can find something locally. Watch CRCRC's board, there's a couple guys there that change buggies more than you probably change your skivies!
