how to make my buggy wheelie.

I have a ofna ultra comp with force .26 engine. I wonder can i pop wheelie with it, or it depends of the car? I ve locked the center diff already. but still cant get it to wheelie. maybe there is not enough torque.is there a higher RPM spring for my clutch? is there way to make the clutch better engagement? i still don't get used to all the tunning stuff, but my car is very fast noow andhas very good acceleration. just want it to pop wheelie like other truck do but still, not able to do it.

Buggies are not made to wheelie, they are made to move forward and turn quickly under high speeds. Which is also why they have a low center of gravity.

Why is there such a fascination with wheelies? When the front wheels are in the air, there is a complete loss of control of the car. Why would anyone want to purposely lose control of their vehicle?

because i dont race. i have fun with it. wheelies do look so cool, dont you think so? i don't think a 2.5 hp engine cant pop this buggy head off the ground. i guess is just the matter of tuning.

You can make it wheelie, but will destroy the handleing of the buggy. I would guess you COULD disable the front wheel so they just free wheel by taking out the front driveshaft. That MAY do it some. You cant just slap bigger wheels on it, because it will kill your low end without re-gearing. Maybe putting the hardest springs and heavy fluid you can on the backto make it stiff so it takes out any "squish" in the rear so it wont give.

Basicly, if you want to wheelie, just go get a Stampede

The magic formula for buggy wheelies. Take a 7-10 lb brick and zip tie it to wing. This will give the buggy a better front to rear weight ratio for on demand wheelies.

J/K I still don't think wheelies are cool, but to each his own.

I guess so...

You can regear but I don't think it will give much. Stiffen the springs in the back...Nope none of that will work.

The only time I have seen a buggy 's front end lift up is after a bad landing or its a brushless 1/8th scale. The speed of it just lifts the front end up. We are talking blistering speeds of 55+. At that speed a crash not only looks cool but totally re-arranges your rig. Not a big deal if you have deep pockets.

I myself prefer to control the ride while I bash.

This is a tall order to be honest. The layout of a buggy just doesn't really allow it. The bottom line is that you need to be able to transfer as much weight as possible to the rear.. that's just a really tough task in a buggy. Good luck in your efforts. I like to pull wheelies too but not in my buggy. I do it with my Mini-T.

About the best way to go about it is to install a third channel servo with a fold down 'wheelie bar' that physically lifts the nose of the buggy up...

Go go gadget wheelie maker!

Otherwise, I highly doubt you'll get an 8th scale buggy to wheelie. They're just too low-slung and traction-control-oriented for anything even remotely resembling a wheelie.

drop 100k diff fluid in the center and 50k in the rear....put stiff shock springs, set em straight up and down in teh front and layed down as flat as you can go in teh rear..... and a late engaging clutch setup like a heavy set of aluminum shoes and 1.1 springs.....then buy a ridiculously EB modded WS72 and let her rip...all this should only cost about 500 bucks just to make it wheelie.....then you can use the rest of your bank account to buy a clue and a savage and be done with this thread.....

and yes this setup will make your buggy lift the front wheels off the ground...I have seen it done and I'm stickin to my gun......the oil weight was a mess up on my friends part thinking those weights were what he needed when I told him try 10k and 5k.....the rest was goin with the flow and getting a few laughs over it.....and this worked on high clay content surface with step pins......
