Assuming you want brand new. Here are some options at that price range.

Any of these will be an improvement over a Smartech.

Don't forget the coupon codes on Tower's homepage if you happen to order anything from them.

I moved this thread to the 1/8th scale forum and deleted your duplicate thread on the same subject. You only need to create one thread on the same subject.

BTW, welcome to the site.

If you've got $450, go with one of these http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXMAC4&P=ML and get yourself some other running equipment too, like fuel, glow plug ignitor, some good tools, stuff like that.

you said buggy, but you also said preferably a offroad one so im guessing your useing buggy as a generic term? if your open to monster trucks cant do badly with this

O man i dont know witch one will last longer. I know that there both fast and can take a beating. I was fishing about a week ago and some guy had a offna and i walked up the hill to bs about rc and he jumping this whole road on asphalt and cleared it then hit a tree. It was funny as hell and his car didnt break or anything and just kept truckin. The second time he jumped and messed up and nailed me almost in the balls. But both buggies are great. Pluse they haul!
