hyper 7 brake issue

hey people.... i have a hyper 7 less than 3 weeks old and all of a sudden i have realised that i have no brakes or 30% of what they used to be. I have adjusted the collars on the linkages but still no improvement and i'm using a fully charged 5 cell intellect 1400 ma pack for my RX......where else should i look or am i just up for a set of brake pads on it already?

with my stockers I had to use very fine sand paper and sand off the glazing on the pads, then I sanded the disk to remove the shiny spots.
That is the only way I could get my brakes to work. Also do you have the stock servo, they just dont put out enough torque to stop the buggy.

i'm using a futaba 6kg servo on the hyper 7 for throttle and braking.....just a thought, i degreased the chassis after being covered in oil due to a pin hole in the fuel line and perhaps the degreaser has contaminated the pads?

also if the degreaser did not play a part in this problem, i read a thread about inserting springs on the brake linkages to prevent brake drag which would give me glazed pads and disks.....maybe this could be the problem?
