I love my 2050 pipe on my V-Spec, but the JP-1 pipe really woke up my OFNA Hyper 7 8 port as well.

HPI ripple pipe...... for the cost to performance I like it best...and you won't cry over some hack wrecking your $120 pipe.....I tried the JP-1 on a sirio .27 and wrecked it....then got the ripple pipe and found I didn't notice a real performance drop but I did get a much meaner sound and better power band on top......this was done w/ sirio .27 and fantom .27 so I'm sure it would give similar results on most bigger mills.....

Uhh, PYRO, I think I saw that on SEXTOYS.COM...J/K.

I think that is the pipe Plaid is referring to. I researched that pipe and it comes away as a winner. What pipe do you have that is 124.00?

on that engine, people like the 086 and 053 pipes. 086 for open fast tracks, and 053 for shorter tracks and where you need fuel mileage. the 2050 robs top end. the hpi just isnt "up to snuff". power racing makes nice versions of both pipe i recommended. they come hard coated with a long header and go for about $60. well worth the money.

PSU I had the Pro version...I got it in trade from a neighbor who thought buy ing the best stuff for a beginner was the best way to go....he never even got it to run.....but I tried it and just thought it was too much for me and what i was using that truck for....mostly running it at the park when I was around mine and my friends kids....that .27 would have killed some little kid if I kept it......now that I'm trying to get it race ready I wished I'd kept it.....
the HPI pipe isn't as strong as the other pipes I guess but like I said I won't be crying over it when it gets killed.....also I use em cause my LHS gives me a sick discount on the pipe.....I paid 25 I think for the last one....Revo the last time I looked at a 2050 pipe it was some 100+ price tag so I just left that alone....I usually run the OFNA pipes like corrado mentioned above...not too pricey and good all around performance....

Ok, im think im going with a JP-1, its similar to an 053 i think. The 2050 is 124.
Revo what the hell are you doing on SEXTOYS . Com? J/K
Revo so people are winning with the HPI?
I have tyhe JP-2 in my possesion, but run on a smaller track. I am also saving up for an Ipod so i need to save. The 3pk + Spektrum and Nova .28 8 Port modded killed me financaly. It took a couple months for me to make that money,

Plaid, the 2050 around here is about 109.00, or at least it was when I bought mine. 124.00 is lot of money!

PYRO, I talked to a few racers recently at Robs R/C Hobbies locally and they like that pipe for a Savage set up with an aftermarket big block. Maybe they are biased.

I saw your post on clutch shoes for a Werks clutch. Wish I had the answer, but I await the solution. It might help my hook up problems for my buggies!

for that .28, rulon shoes are the ticket, the dont last as long as carbons, but will grab the hardest. keep in mind they take a lap or 2 to heat up and give consistant engagement.

Revo when I looked I probably got an msrp from the factory site....but still 109 for a pipe and they get trashed in one shot sometimes...my JP-1 was the hardened one and all I did was catch a tree root goin WOT and it just went crazy and snapped the stinger w/ that beefy block and took about an inch more metal hole behind it.....I was bummed cause there went 70 bucks down the tube....I ran the HPI pipe after until I bought another JP-1 and I didn't see a real big difference in them.....for the cost I'll keep using em as long as I can.....and I've only gone through 1 HPI pipe because of my stupidity.....

did you keep the jp-1 header with the Hpi pipe?

i just got a jp-1 and the pipe looks "simmilar" to my stock one, i can tell it will be diffrent because the bends and shape are a little diffrent in praportion (spelling lol)

but the biggest difference was the header, it is a good 2-4 cm wider, and the stock was squared, where as the jp-1 is a rounded shape. [ -stock ( -jp-1
