Front axle won't SPIN!
^^^bah.....^^^exactly what it sounds like.
Anyways it's not the brakes. When I take of the front end under the front end are two gear like things. The little one is trying to move. But the large one is stuck...I lubed it up with wd 40 and isn't helping. I'm thinking there's a rock in there..How do i take it apart? This is a lightning rr buggy. any tip on taking it apart or ways to get what I think is a rock out please post them. |

you talking about the diff?? can you post a pic?? make sure your bearings in the hubs are good.. take the shaft out and see if you can spin the wheels.. (had this happen to me) if its the diff then there shouldnt be a rock in it.. its supposed to be sealed..if there is you have more problems than you know..

My best advice on how to take it apart is to take out the screws that hold it together.
If your unsure about where everything goes. take pictures before and during the process.

But I got it, I took a screw driver and almost broke the screw drive and cranked it and got it. Anyways if I ran watetr through these gears that were previusly lubed will it ruin them? Could I run water through dry it out the best I can and put a little wd 40 in just in case? What kind of lube is used on these gears? It looks almost like glue that doesnt dry. Will it matter much without this lube? |

It's pretty much just axle grease you can find at an automotive store.
There are a few pages of the manual here: http://www.hotbodiesonline.net/instr_lightning2.html It's the lightning 2, but it's pretty close to the lightning. |
