OK you are going to have to mod it, here is a bit of a nudge in the direction of the research you are going to have to do to get a sucessful mod. Good luck and dont be afraid to do a little reading on it.

I did a single google search and found this site http://www.dawntrading.com.au/kyosandmasters.htm.

The stock engine listed is a Kyosho GT-12SCR w/recoil starter (included)
That engine is small block and will have different mounts than a big block.
There are some companies making conversion kits to mount BB's in Small Block trucks.
Check those out. (TMAXX, REVO, MT, etc)

If you are willing to mod it to fit just go buy the engine and let the mods begin.

AJ.

It will not fit. UNLESS YOU MOD IT. once you mod it you will be upgrading things like clutch spurs etc to handle the power.

if this seems a bit complex aviod modding this truck and put a small block in it.

BB into a chassis made for a small block chassis ... nope, it's not a drop in swap. Mounting holes will need to be moded. THings might need to be moved around in order to accomodate the larger engine. Clutch assembly will need to be found as well as gears. Don' forget the differential will need to be beefed up. Get yourself anOS .18TZ. You'll be happier.

Or even the OS .18 cvrx. For under a hundred bucks you can't beat it.

A .21 would be toooo much torque for that little car... Even a .18 would throw it around like a rag doll, if it could get the power to the ground.

yeah, but good news (for me anyway) the reason i was getting new engine is cause when someone gave it to me the engine didnt work. he had a homemade dril setup. i put a pullstart on it and it fired on the first pull after 4 years of storage!!. should i do anything since its been so long since its been fired??

AJ,

If you dont know what the motor is, how are we supposed to know what the motor is to try to get you factory settings?!?!?

If it's hot at idle set LSN a 1 or 1/2 turn richer till it's not hot..
If its hot after a few high speed passes set the high speed richer..
aside from that cant help ya.

man I'd put that thing in a museum somewhere and build a newer buggy......do some yard work for the summer and save some scratch for a newer used buggy...finding parts for that has got to be a beotch and a half....
