Swift2 buggy

Hi ive just had a good look at the swift 2 and i was very impressed with it lots of alloy and carbon, So i ordered myself up one. The only thing i was a bit puzzled with is that on the Schumacher web site it sais that its capable of speeds of 50mph rtr out of the box.. Does this sound right?? 50mph seems a bit fast for a standard buggy.. Not sure if the engines a 4 or a 8 port?
Cheers
Andy

The stock engine is a 4 port (including the exhaust port) and is tuned for torque rather than top-speed. Couple this with the 13T clutch pinion and I'd be surprised if it would pull 50mph.

For a rallycross buggy, top speed is less important than the ability to accelerate cleanly out of the corners and the Swift is probably no worse than a lot of the competition in this respect.

Just remember that what you pay for the Swift2 in RTR form, complete with engine and radio, is little more than you would expect to pay for a top class .21 racing engine on its own.
