that's the RTR....
here is the Pro Kit..... http://www.rcnitrotalk.com/gallery/d...55_JPG_jpg.jpg here is some of the first review by singapore magize .... hiya folks! I am situated in Singapore where the ZX1 is being tested by our local drivers and a factory driver from taiwan. The castor racing ZX1 is doing well in our local series races. i have personally driven one(having won one in a raffle). it is a WORLD of difference, it only LOOKS like a mugen mbx5(which i also own, the buggy i drove just before i tried the castor) the suspension geometries are different and i have weighed the components against the mugen parts, there is an average weight savings of about 4 grams per component..... that is a lot of weight when you fix up the car... also, and more importantly, the diffs are approximately 15 grams lighter in weight when compared to mugens...each! the car feels very light on acceleration and top speed. and turns easily... obviously, more weight can be shaved with the use of light -weight pivot balls , titanium components and screws.. but as is, its just the lightest buggy you can find on the market right about now. ciao! -alexander p.s. i'll write up a review in a bit « Last Edit: Apr 29th, 2005, 1:52pm by foampervert » Logged |

how can we take one unknown persons opinion that this new to the market buggy from an unknown company is better than the world champion MBX5, and the lightest buggy on the market without stateing its actual weight, just making arbitrary weight savings claims.
if castor wants advertising, they should pay for it just like every other manufacture in the buisness. |

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOLL LOL LOL LOL LOL
now thats probably the boldest statement i think ive ever seen, not to mention light weight insnt everything, w = bite, not to menton the fact that if it looks like a mugen but weighs less it probably a cheap knock up version with crap quality components, less dense plastic, meaning less strengh, thats why the mugen sells, people dont always want light, sometimes they want robust |

Seeing that thread has practically died ,thought Id resurrect it.
I run a Casterracing ZX-1 Pro ,and have completed a complete season of nationals and club races at the beginning in the first half of the year. Buggy has been very durable and handles well too. New ZX-1R Pro is and has just been released and is going to turn some heads. Great value for money in a pro kit , improvements made has been courtesy of Paul Coleman earlier this year. Kit comes complete with CVd's all round . ![]()
