Problems with my clutch bell

What am I doing wrong i can't tighten the screw all the way down because then it doesn't spin freely but when I back the screw off a bit so that it will spin freely it keeps coming out and I chew up my bell at WOT.

How are you shimmed? It sounds like your cb is too far out. If you are shimmed anywhere try taking some out so that your bearings are just before the end of the crank.

get a set of racers edge washers that fit in the racing og your CB bearing....they will alow you to tighten down the screw w/o putting pressure on the bearing plate just the center race......I tell everyone near me to get a set of those and a set of the Kyosho shims, they give you 3 thicknesses in the shims....between those 2 sets you'll be able to get it perfectly shimmed...and use good bearings too.....

I'm not 100% sure on what plaidfish is talking about... not saying he's wrong, just not sure what he's intending.

It does sound like you need to take some shims out from behind the flywheel though.
