Just bought an XB8 w/ a Novarossi 421B

Well, I finaly did it, I bought an XB8 off of ebay today. Here's the link :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

I'm a little apprehensive about his never selling on Ebay before, but I'll have to wait and see. I'm paying with Paypal, w/ a CC. If everything goes well I should have a nice buggy. He Said that he had about $2500. in the XB8, but I don't see it. However, I don't think I could've put that together for anywhere near what I paid. He said he has ran 3 tanks of fuel thru the motor, 1st two @ idle, 3rd tank idle-mid and back. If that's correct, then I'll need to still break it in for about 3-4 more tanks before I begin to tune it.
Anyone ever hear of Sanwa before? any thoughts would be greatly appriciated.

Yeah, I had to think about it for a while! I'm a little concerned about his not having any feedback. He said he just signed up to sell it. I'm using a CC thru Paypal, so I figured I would be fairly safe, we'll see. He has to get back to me by tomorrow or I'll walk. And the thing is, I always pay at the end of the auction, but he didn't post the shipping, so I couldn't pay. I emailed him and told him I'd give him $30. for Priority, USPS. He said he has close to $2500. in the car, but I don't see that much.

Airtronics is made my Swana, so I assume the servos are basically Airtonics servos...sounds like a great buggy. If you went out and bought all that stuff I'm sure it would be over what you paid. Let us know how the deal goes...

I hope everything goes through for you.
All the signs of fraud are out in the open sorry to say.

The image is not of the buggy you bid on,
There is no other pics of the stuff listed.
No other sales from the seller.
The price is the same as getting everything NIB.

If you get the stuff as advertised, you will be happy. Its a great setup and you dont have to build it.

Please keep us up to date.
My fingers are crossed that everything works out.

He emailed me pics of the buggy and all items included, he then called me on my cell and I've spocken with him twice prior to the auction. If it goes thru, it will be payed by Paypal w a CC (I'm calling my CC co to find out about how much fraud protection I will have. If it's adaquate, I'll proceed, if not, I wont). I was thinking about having him COD it. I know the UPS driver enough to be able to peak inside the box to check.
What are your thoughts on that. I guess I didn't do my homework enough, I thought that the price was decent for what I was getting. I'll keep ya posted.
PS.
I was originaly talking with him about trading my two Revo's plus cash.

If you get everything and its in great shape you will have a nice unit with a few extra goodies over the price of a new unit. I was just pricing everything out and it looks like your 200-300 ahead of the game from getting everything new.

Its just the fraud factor that gets me. I have enough on my mind that something like this would put me over the edge. I prefer to be able to sleep at night.

if you actually bought it, you will have to proceed upon ebay rules !
or you could be sanctioned
or you have to make a deal with the seller but if he is a first time seller , he won't know how to break the sale...
and ebay will have him pay their %

I spoke with Discover, they said if I use my card to pay and any fraud occurs, I'm not responsible for it. All that I have to do is contact thier fraud dept and the transaction is suspended, if it is fraud, there is no lability. Even if someone represents something other than what they advertised, it can be disputed and you do not have to pay until it is resolved.
I will talk with the guy this afternoon, as he just left me a voicemail. I will try and post the pics he sent.
