Big Grin new buggy in the house!

i bought a pcr pro/8 port race combo from jon 2, converted it to pull start, (buchered to pull start is probably more accurate) and got it broken in. this thing is incredible!!! the tuning has been straight foward so far but i im a little weary of how far i should take the temp. right now it runs good and is 240ish after warmup and a few balls out passes. i know this is definitly safe but is 260, 280? any 8 port guys please hook me up cause if theres more power to be had safely im on it. i would have posted pics of it but i lack the brain power to get em from my cpu to the forum. and i was also wondering if the rock gaurds from a 9.5 would fit the hyper 7. thanks

i have mine runnin such that it runs at 19x or so b4 it really warms up,then 20x/21x for most of run, maybe just maybe hittin low 230s b4 runnin outta fuel.

richen her up a lil, yeh it might seem rough in beginning and maybe u might just migh lose a lil power...but it'll live longer, and thats always cool

POST PICS!!!POST PICS!!!

I am glad that you are liking that rig. I DO!! would suggest upgrading the tires. I reached 260 on my part but I sealed the back plate and the carb to make sure it was air tight!

I want pics dude. Oh yeah welcome back my friend.

Jon

260-280 is about the sweet spot for most .21 engines. You could even go a little leaner and really get her screaming, but I would recommend against it. Why? If you are happy with the current performance, then leave it alone and let the engine live longer. You could also richen it up a smidge to run a bit cooler, perhaps lose some of the performance, but gain a little in engine longevity. Your call...BUT to answer your question...260-280 is fine...as long as those temps are in Farenheit.

well consider 100*C and 212*F are both the boiling point of water. so *f is just a little more than 2x *C therefore 130*C works out to about 270*F
