I don't see why not. They are offered individually or you can buy the Prospec kit.

Prospect kit? Is that the whole buggy, or can you buy the upgrade parts as a kit for the MBX-5 you might already have?

The MBX-5 Prospec is a version of the MBX-5 with most of the upgrades available included. All Prospec parts fit on the MBX-5.

I'd actually recommend getting the original MBX5 and upgrading as you go. Some of the upgrades are just bling...plus the MBX5 is race-proven...there are some upgrades on the Prospec (new front arms) that even Mugen drivers aren't using..

The MBX-5 Prospec parts (everyone of them) is compatible and will fit on the original MBX-5. As jmart stated, some of them are just plain bling and serve no real improved purpose. I have two MBX-5s and they have most if not all of the Prospec hop ups installed.

Yeah, but do they sell all the propect hop ups as a kit, or do you have to buy them individually?

Seperate. We were offering an upgrade kit, and will probably be doing so again in the next month or so.. Mugen does not offer an upgrade kit, however.

jmart has the right of it. At the moment, Mugen has not put together an upgrade kit.

And, I have not found an aftermarket company that has either.

Just wondered, because I am thinking of buying a Mugen, and have been trying to dicice if I want to find a MBX-5, and upgrade as needed, or just get the Prospec kit. This also could be influenced by the new Thunder Tiger coming out supposedly last month, and more so than that availablity of parts for it. Parts availablity for my Lightning suck, and I am ready to retire it to a back up.

jmart, I think selling all the parts as a kit, and seperate is a great idea. I have a couple of friends with MBX-5's that would probably be interested in a kit.

We're re-relasing our MBX-5 Prospec Upgrade kit in the next day or two due to high demand.. It will have two versions.

1. With everything but the Mugen 1-piece engine mount and Mugen aluminum rear hubs (expensive pieces) for $249
2. With everything for $339
